Firstly, AC:V combat is the best in the series in terms of animations and combat interactions. Thumbs up for you guys at Ubisoft. I believe you nailed it. 👍
Secondly, I play most of my combat without target lock cause I am on PC.

Now the issue I noticed:
In Valhalla it seems that the target is selected by where Eivor is currently facing.
In Odyssey the target was chosen based on where the player is looking (where camera midpoint is facing).
Also in Odyssey you had a golden reticle on the current targeted enemy so you would know where Kassandra/Alexios would try to hit next.

Now, for me the Valhalla System is a downgrade cause you might have 2 entities in front of Eivor. One a box and the other an enemy.
So you would think that Eivor would target the Enemy but it may go for the box.
Until I understood that I have to account for the direction where Eivor is looking and if there are breakables around him/her it was very frustrating.
To this day I still have trouble sometimes and it makes me rant at Eivor. "Is really a pot the priority Eivor? Really? Now? Against ALL the guys, you aim for the box, really😠 ?"

Do you guys get frustrated cause of this too?

PS:Thank you developers of the game for the awesome combat variation and punch. This is where Valhalla really shines, combat!

Hello InnerVoiS thank you for your sharing your thoughts on the targeting systems in Valhalla.

I will move this thread to our player General Discussion section of the forum, to see if there are other players who would like to contribute to this too and so it can be seen by a larger audience, including our game devs and community team.

If you have any more feedback about the game, please make sure to post this in our General Discussion area of the forum, as the Player Support section is more for bug reporting and technical issues, thank you!
