Having specific loot drops tied to specific strongholds is one way people imagine keeping stronghold variety but that introduces a ton of its own issues. All stronghold specific pieces would need to be desirable enough to multiple Javelins to promote a healthy mixed squad queuing for all strongholds. Hopefully there is already some system in place to alleviate this issue.

Right....

If an easy missions takes 15 minutes and a normal mission takes 30 minutes, the drop chance / loot for completing the normal needs to be better than if you ran 2 easy missions. This is what we will be keeping an eye on.

u/UNTDrew you have any info on when Wal-Mart will be releasing the codes?

We don’t control the retailer distribution of the codes. I would advise reaching out to them directly.

Theoretically yes, but u/BenIrvo did state that the harder the content the greater the rewards. So likely RNG percentages for Legendary gear will be greater in said harder even if the loot table allows the chance for that gear to drop during free play.

But yes you’re right. As in all looter type games, we will always look for an efficient way to find that high tier gear with god roll inscriptions that work for our builds.

And we will be on the look out for this stuff and make changes as needed.

Using Monster Hunter World as an example, it depends. In there, certain monsters are not only less weak to certain status effects but could also be immune to certain things and enemies in Anthem can potentially be the same.

For example, it's possible that no matter how much freeze you inflict on a Titan, you will never freeze them. Or maybe there's some Acid monster that is immune to the debuff.

I can't remember if anything has complete immunity to an element (I don't think so?) - but some enemies are definitely resistant to some elements.

I was running a Freezing build with my Storm and ran into a pack of Frost Wolven and Dominion Brutes with Ice empowered attacks... it was rather challenging. 😊

Well, in free roam you aren't technically in a team with the randoms, so presumably the only way to get shared medal experience in free roam is by manually grouping up. Could be that they meant, and/or in the context of the crit path where you can play completely solo, but teaming up (either with friends or through matchmaking) might be more rewarding.

Personally, I certainly hope there's no distinction. I vastly prefer in-game matchmaking over third-party systems, so I would hate to be disadvantaged - even if it's just slightly - because I'd rather use the actual in-game system over something else.

When you're in a group with others (you're automatically grouped with matchmade players in Strongholds and Missions), you share the XP gained from your Feats.

The only time you don't share XP is if you're by yourself in Freeplay (not in a pre-made Squad). The easiest way to look at it is... if you see them on the Victory Screen after the expedition is over, you're sharing XP with them. 😊

Edit: Also, just a note... the word "sharing" might be a bit confusing. You don't split XP as a group... you just get more. 😊

I've seen this multiple times in The Division and Monster Hunter World. At least Massive made efforts to stop cheating and included an in-game reporting system while Capcom doesn't really care. I can't seem to find any threads about this. Has this been discussed at all?

There is a healthy measure of security. It's important that things are fair - if you see someone with something awesome, you need to know that they got it legitimately. 😊
