Hey @rodmarionlim,
That's definitely odd. If you've been playing since launch your PSN ID should have already been linked up with an EA Account. It shouldn't be possible to link it up with a different account like that.
When you have the chance I'd recommend getting in touch with the EA Help team so they can pull up your account and take a look. Unfortunately we don't have the ability to look into account issues here on Answers HQ. You can find more information on how to set up a case with them over at the EA Help website. If you prefer you can also speak with them over Twitter or Facebook as well.
