Respawn just keep operating in such a weird way. Why not just announce these at the start so people actually want to play ranked?
Or is it a great strategy to try and keep people hooked and their player base up?
Everything takes time to do, the rewards were not ready at the start of the season.
Thanks for posting! I made this concept at the very beginning when we had only an idea of what the game was going to be since it was the first time we had to concept for such a big map. I was trying to explore the idea that half the map was forest and how it would transition into desert. Originally I thought the map might be cool if this river that went through the middle of the map was the divide between newer architecture and old rusted abandoned structures. I worked with Jose Zavala who figured out how this would look in game with lots of supporting little sketches and paintings.
So cool to see one of my Paintings animated so well :) Peter did an awesome job!
