Hey all,

So what is your first card? Combat Knife. It was the first card I used for a long time. Today with a lot of cards unlocked, I wanted my build to come online sooner. I then realized that the knife is not part of that build at all.

So I went out with fists. Before this, I probably punched one zombie. I thought it would be terrible and take me a while to learn or adjust, but not really.

Fists are an AOE knockback for free. 4 zombies on you? Punch and quick spray, or 4 precise and easy pistol shots. Horde coming in? Go off to the side and punch the crowd running at your team and they all stagger. Your team lights them up easily without even being touched.

Fists are really strong. The combat knife is a crutch (edit: crutch is the wrong word, what I mean is "not as necessary as you think"). A medic build doesn't need the knife. A shotgun tank does not need the knife (edit: may be bad example but you get my point). Etc etc.

In fact, you get 2 crutch cards out. Not every build needs to regain 2 life on melee kill. So now you can have really strong cards right off the bat without wasting time on the knife stuff.

Anyone else come to this conclusion yet? Curious to hear thoughts.

Fists have a larger melee melee trace box. The knife hit trace is small and precise.
