Sometimes some users get a significantly larger download, about the size reported during the "Preparing" phase, but it's actual download. Here is an example from the previous patch posted by another user here: http://www.wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/bafc50bdcd.jpg
I've been affected by this myself a few updates ago where I got a 30GB download instead of 10GB; a friend of mine also had the same happen twice in a row. From what I've read it can also happen that Origin says the download is ~60GB but then it becomes smaller after restarting it.
Yeah some folks find that if you cancel the download and then right click and select ‘Repair’ from the tile it sometimes works out slightly faster (plus triple checks your files are in order)
