The BFV Discord is ran by the community (same as this reddit). We're happy to call it our home on Discord but it's independently ran.

Well this I never really thought about and now I think about it is quite silly, I know games aren't suppose to be full simulation but a little bit a realism like slower running while crouched is expected.

You run slower when crouched.

This is a bit off topic, as a level designer how would you balance art/gameplay design. Like for instance, I create a map that favors more gameplay design at around 60% and then art design at around 40%. Would you do the same? Why or why not?

The best way I worked in my career was "hand in hand" with a Level Artist. Percentage is not important here. Both LD and LA have quite different work to do on a map and it's all about communication and iteration. Tons and tons of iterations. To build a map, both have to work together yet, the LD is the first to work on the map, creating the general layout. Then at some point, when the gameplay is pretty much set in stone, it's the LA's time to shine and make everything looks amazing.

Not a big fan of that language. I know you are frustrated, but c'mon be the bigger person here.

On the topic of the video:
I keep fixing those issues on Devastation, but people keep finding new spots to climb up on... I assume this is partially to us also improving the vaulting system. :)
Will find out how they get up there and fix it. Thx for reporting the issue!

Very well executed vault grab, congrats!

Never would I intend to interrupt your personal life, I want to make it clear that was not my intent. I understand that everyone is human and needs breaks at times, that much is common sense. However, the “lack of communication” that I’m addressing is in the long run. Cosmetics, for example, have been teased since the first days of BFV, but not once were we given any info or even a rough guess on when it will come. (Friendly reminder it has been a few months now) And now we’re here, waiting hopelessly for content that is almost a myth at this point. The same is for Boins, but I’ll cut it short. The main idea is that you can’t keep advertising things that will continue to get pushed back as the days roll on. I truly hope that the catchphrase “Soon” won’t be a standard to follow. Vagueness isn’t the answer, and is exactly why BFV has been less successful than its predecessors.

I appreciate the response, enjoy the new car and drive safe.

Right on. And I understand your frustration. To be honest, there’s a lot of information I’ve been wanting us to share. And we are getting better, but we should be great at it by now. We’re internally working on improving processes and structure to get more details and info to y’all faster, with less red-tape slowing it down. But as you’ve said, we’ve talked a lot about stuff “is coming”. It’s time we show it. So I’m not going to drone on about “we’re going to be more communicative about XXX, YYY, ZZZ”, we’re just going to do it.

You have a good weekend, buddy!
