[2021] New player: leveling with dungeons only?

Hi everyone, How much open world so I have to play in this game, as this is actually one of the mmo's aspects I do not enjoy. So how good are the dungeons? Is it worth to put the time into the games when dungeons are the main focus?

And another question: is the gear enhancement system as hardcore as black desert?

You should know that the game limits how often you can get rewards from dungeon. To open the chest at the end, you need a dungeon key. You get 1 a day and can get more from field bosses and the player market. You get more XP doing open world content than you do running dungeons
