Didn't they say that the streak was just a number and didn't affect the rewards?

They said that the streak was just a number and that in order to claim the rewards, it wouldn't matter if you lose your streak. Basically, we were told that if for example we miss the 4th day, we could log-in on day 5 and we would be able to claim the reward for the 4th day.

Just to clarify: this isn't how it works and something w went askew in the information flow between the game and support teams.

The chain simply continues forever. The only thing that resets is indeed the number as mentioned in Brawl Talk.
