What happens if you disable Vsync in the game, and set the refresh cap to 60 ?

Other ideas I've seen include disabling autosave, and bloom in the video settings - any different?

I assume you mean "does not happen" ... ?

Did it happen when you were on 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 previously, before 1.1.3 came out?

I understand that. My question was whether this happened back when you were first on those patches, before 1.1.3 came out?

It's not impossible but I think it is far more likely to be a problem with that card, driver, or geforce experience.

Does unloading geforce experience change anything?

If not, I think it's worth investigating this as a possible hardware issue.

Do you still have the previous card, if so can you test with that in?

Sorry about this, I am struggling to think of what this could be that is affecting you with this card but not the other card!

Great! It's not uncommon to overlook how power-hungry the latest video cards are. All the best!

My guess is either there is a dedicated power cable going to the video card that was not connected, or the PSU was not able to supply enough power for the GPU's top-end requirements and they put in a more powerful PSU.

R0cketBean said: Hello everyone,

I am new here and hope to find a solution for my problem....

I have a new gaming laptop with the following hardware:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz
16 GB Ram 3200MHZ
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB
Windows 10

With my built-in hardware, the game should run smoothly, but I can't play the game at all...

As soon as I am in the menu of CK3 I have extremely low frame rates and the game plays extremely jerky. From time to time the frames jump to 144 but as fast as this happens, they are also down.... It doesn't matter if I have a power supply connected or not, it all comes down to the same thing....

Even if I set all graphic settings to minimum, the game is unplayable....

I have already reinstalled the game several times and paid attention to everything AndrewT described in another post.

I have also tested the older versions of the game but without success.....

The strange thing is that other games run without problems... For example Kingdom Come Deliverance runs on almost the highest graphic settings on 75-85 FPS....

Does anybody have an idea what else I can do?

Thanks for your help!
For the future, it's best if you start your own thread, thanks.

Did you specifically check your power supply can comfortably supply your GPU? Those 2070s are hungry.

Please reduce the frame rate cap to 60, does that help?

Does turning off autosave (as a test) change the problem at all?
