I understand there are multiple issues at play but we should start with the crashes. It looks like your ‘Worker Thread’ count is very low - did you set this to avoid crashing previously? Could you try increasing it?

The experimental build is now mirroring the live build, meaning it is essentially redundant. We have now implemented an option within ‘Settings’ → ‘Interface’ that allows you to disable Portrait Rendering, which we understand is a common cause of GPU-related crashes for some:

There is a conflict between one of the security applications on your PC and Darktide. The problematic DLL is Citrix\ICA Client\epclient64.dll

Use the code CONVICT-SKULLS23

It’s my understanding we were calling upon two incompatible functions, one of which was actually made redundant. The redundant function was removed in the hotfix, subsequently resolving the crash.

I’ve added a bit about this at the bottom of the article I linked above. I have also shared this information with our Engine Developers in case there’s anything we can do.

@Slackoth How did you discover this out of interest? Did you have issues outside of Darktide too?

Comment

Out of interest, are you able to load in using any other characters (if you have them)?

The console log is truncated which is unfortunate. I’ve queried this with our developers and will report back to you.

Comment

Please could you include your console logs and darktide_launcher.log for us to look at, please?

Could you try removing your AppData, and see if there’s any improvement? Please bear in mind this will clear any custom options including your keybindings:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\MicrosoftStore\Darktide
  4. Delete the entire Darktide directory

I have shared this with our developers and I hope to have an update for you soon.
