For those of you unfamiliar with the Warlock aspect Glacial Harvest - 'Freezing targets creates Stasis shards around the frozen targets. Higher tier combatants create more shards'.

This aspect lets you create a maximum of 6 shards before it enters a 15 second cooldown. This 15 second cooldown is problematic, because it prevents synergy with a number of interactions/buffs that can be obtained from various stasis shards builds. My suggestion would be to decrease the cooldown but keep the production rate the same - maximum of 2 shards before it enters a 5 second cooldown.

The synergies that a 15 second cooldown prevents:

  • Cannot stack overshield from Whisper of Rime 'Collecting a [Stasis] Stasis shard grants a small amount of overshield, which falls off after 10 seconds. Collecting additional shards adds to the overshield and refreshes the timer' - because you only collect shards every 15 seconds.
  • Cannot derive the full benefit from stasis shards as elemental wells, because the mod Elemental Shards has a cooldown of 5 seconds, meaning that as a Warlock you only get one elemental well every 15 seconds - you are missing out on triple the amount of energy regeneration.
  • Cannot obtain full uptime from many elemental well mods (including Font of Might, which lasts for 10 seconds and can be refreshed), since you can only trigger them every 15 seconds.

Adjusting (not buffing) the cooldown to 2 shards every 5 seconds would enable these build synergies. It feels bad to not be able to derive the full benefit from these subclass generic fragments/mods.

This is a great thread and you're totally spot on that the current cooldown isn't congruent with our goals for build crafting. I've shared this with the team but to be clear we don't have an ETA for any changes.
