Today sees the release of Update 16.01 for Elite Dangerous Live/4.0.

The Elite Dangerous '4.0/Live' servers (only) are now offline until approximately 13:00 BST, when they shall return with the update available to you.

THIS THREAD SHALL REMAIN LOCKED AS A PLACE FOR ME TO KEEP YOU UPDATED ON DOWNTIME AND DEPLOYMENT PROGRESS.

Once the deployment is successful and the servers return, I shall unlock the thread.

Apologies for last night's server issues. The team were attentive to them and got right to it, but unfortunately it was me who let you down this time, as I wasn't here to be hands on as last time.

I've updated the checklist above and also added in the information that was pending for the Epic download size. Anything further in terms of information regarding 16.01 specifics will follow in the update notes themselves, from approximately 09:00 BST when the servers are planned to go down.
