274s to some delightful zurilla locations
278s inside of the Drake system we also have
281s Michael selects which are returning
284s that's actually rather exciting we
286s haven't done Michael slacks in quite
287s some time for those unfamiliar with what
290s that is first off what is a Michael he
293s is the CEO of Rockfish games the boss
296s the master if you will and he chooses
299s much of the screenshots that you guys
302s provide as well as internal ones that
304s you know we doctor up and whatnot in
305s order to utilize in the marketing space
308s and a lot of what you guys do are just
311s chef's kiss and Michael selects those
315s hints Michael selects so when we have
318s that showcase at the end of the stream

325s so we'll be covering 14 selected shots

365s the builds that we're using here man
368s it's so hot I gotta all right so
371s um we are using a Blood star build
374s um I cut two star forged um that was
377s actually kind of accidental but we're
378s gonna take it so we've got a rapid
380s repeater and a swift decimator here in
383s our build uh in conjunction with the
385s raid booster as well as the Renegade
387s plating you only need three for the
389s bloodstar SAT we have four it's fine
391s still works basically as we're boosting
394s that's gonna increase our blood star
396s weapons by 25 that's both of these both
400s of these are Blood star weapons so our
402s Firepower gets all of this stuff
403s increased but then whatever that value
406s is that it's calculated it then boosts
408s that up by an additional 25 so that
412s value isn't added here
413s it's added after that calculation and
416s then it just increases that value by an
419s additional 25 it's pretty it gets pretty
422s crazy all right
423s so uh then um we have some scorpion
427s missiles also star Forge my goodness
429s this is a nice build we have
430s destabilizer missiles
432s we have Rockets which I just equipped
436s we also have uh you know mostly standard
440s stuff on this front but are attributes
442s that we focused in on were specifically
444s structure utility resistance and
447s expertise that was more of what we were
448s going for we ended up getting some nice
450s Precision uh but that's uh that's just
453s kind of how how it's fallen into place
455s so uh also note that our Prime Shield it
458s deflects oh whoops
460s sorry about that thought that I put that
463s on mute silly me I'm gonna do that right

469s so that we don't get in trouble
472s uh see custom until three perfect

483s the way I really do appreciate the
484s follow-up excellent wonderful so
487s um Shield deals 70 energy damage back to
491s the attacker's own Shield
493s and it also fires off an EMP blast this
495s is important this is important I'm
496s looking at you guys maybe I should talk
498s like this so it fires off an EMP blast
501s uh that stuns everybody for like two
504s seconds when the shield enters a
506s shutdown State now the reason why this
508s is important is because we can kind of
511s sort of abuse chaining into that
513s shutdown State
515s um it's not going to be like extreme
516s because we patched that out uh but we
519s have some means to to do that and you'll
521s see that as we're playing uh then we
524s have pretty standard Renegade plating
525s optimized purse perus or peruser like to
531s see those resources
532s The Raid booster uh you get increased
535s boost speed after a kill is the big
536s thing from that and then a pretty
538s standard cargo unit with Firepower
540s utility and resistance on it last but
543s not least we're using two of the new
545s consumables that we highlighted somewhat
547s recently we have three energy Shields
551s and these when you use these it
553s basically just absorbs damage for you
555s and then we also have four system
557s recovery routines this is going to help
559s us because right now zorilia is not
562s balanced it is
564s it's not balanced at all in fact it's
566s kind of broken so um if you see me
568s struggling against them no it's not that
570s I'm incompetent maybe a little but uh
573s it's actually because uh both retaliers
575s and it's really haven't been fine-tuned
577s so as we're showing those today just
579s know work in progress you should know
581s this but you know add a disclaimer
583s system recovery routine will help us
585s keep the Showcase alive so that's why we
587s got that going on there
589s um last but not least I suppose we could
591s say these are our passives out of the
594s way me Target lock on duration reduced
596s by 50 20 reduced damage from enemy
599s explosives uh with that passive the
602s target lock-on duration reduced we can
604s effectively lock on like that so we're
607s not gonna have any trouble hitting with
608s either the Scorpion missiles or the
610s destabilizer missiles
612s um shoot with the destabilizer they're
614s also decreased by 80 lock duration so
617s that is like literally the second I
619s pinpoint a Target it's locked like it's
621s just it's immediate uh same thing with
623s the Scorpion missiles actually so both
625s of these both these are going to be
626s hyper fast lock on uh I think that's
629s everything for the build
632s uh no we also have some perks to talk
634s about we have defensive Massacre
636s so that's gonna trigger our Shield
639s recharge upon killing an enemy that's
641s gonna cycle into that Shield Loop like I
644s talked about we also have percussive
646s maintenance
647s so when our Shield does go down which
649s again is fine if it does we kind of want
651s that to chain into itself when we start
653s taking armor damage that's gonna have a
656s chance to uh reduce a random device
658s cooldown by 30 so we can reactivate that
661s to regenerate Shields to go back and
664s forth in that we're using crit happens
667s for some Splash damage crits and we're
669s using unyielding assault which when we
672s activate our alt which is the arc 9000
674s on the bomber it will instantly repair
676s armor and remove all debuffs which is
679s going to be a nice benefit here we also
681s have things that I can't show all right
685s um next up
687s is there anything oh yeah our devices
688s last up last up we have the EMP
690s generator restoring Shields when I use
692s this
694s going back into the shield thing you're
696s probably seeing that trend
698s we're also using Annihilator virus just
700s for some Splash damage some nice crowd
703s control and missile defense system and
705s every destroyed missile increases the
706s remaining duration by one second so as a
709s bomber I want to be in full control of
711s missiles and if I see a bunch of crap
712s heading my way I'm gonna pop this so
714s that they can't hurt me

719s there is one bug that is present in the
723s game Hans Christian will be addressing
724s it
725s um and basically that one and maybe some
728s of you caught it I don't even know
730s honestly but whenever you are using a
732s bomber
734s and you have Auto firing missiles it
737s actually spins the energy on the bomber
740s it's not supposed to do that it should
741s be firing a free missile if it's Auto
744s firing so that will be fixed uh soon
746s okay wow that was a lot of describing
749s the build but it's important so you know
750s where we're coming from let's do this
755s I guess we're going to talk about this
757s is really a destroyer first that's
759s exciting
765s so we've seen this in the concept art
768s now it's time to get a closer look

781s so first thing to note
783s our Shield's getting broken there
787s we have oh we got so hot that now we're
790s burning but we have a number of new
792s features on this vessel that we haven't
794s seen before from the original Destroyer
798s one of the biggest changes is that this
800s middle area it's completely sealed off
804s completely sealed off
807s barred away
809s doesn't look like that's going to be
810s opening
812s otherwise we got these fancy little
814s doohickeys going on in the back of this
816s thing who knows what those are for it's
819s probably something about like thermal
820s Shields or you know heat resistance of
822s some kind maybe it's labeled on the
824s concept art if somebody wants to dig
825s that up
827s and then we have this sort of expanded
829s hanger area
831s as well as I'm just gonna point at these
833s we got this guy right over here and then
835s there's three of them over here as well
838s these are the actual thermal Shield
840s generators
842s uh translated into gaming terms it's
844s providing the ship with armor so let's
846s uh remove that
848s ouch
861s all right so as you can see we are
863s stripping away its armor pretty fast
865s because we're focused on these hard
866s points on the outside as opposed to the
869s inside
871s we got a lot of cirilla coming at us
878s but there's no real clear shots on the
881s inside here
882s like you would find from a typical
885s ouch like what you find from a
886s traditional uh Destroyer
891s so you're operating very differently
892s against this vessel than a standard one
899s all right we brought them down though
903s now we're taking a lot of heat damage
907s and just to kind of cover what that does
910s the standard heat what it will do is it
914s will
914s overheat an item that's literally what
917s we call it overheat an item and that
919s will reduce some sort of aspect of the
922s item it's overheating so in a case of
925s this really doesn't hurt us hardly at
928s all unless we were trying to dismantle
930s In the Heat of combat which I would not
932s recommend but the cargo units
935s dismantling quality is reduced while
937s it's overheated
938s the reason why we have it affects
940s basically anything is some of these can
942s seriously hurt you
943s so you kind of want a random thing that
946s doesn't matter too much to get
947s overheated like in the case of this but
950s beyond that
952s um there's also a scorching condition
954s that applies to your ship when you
956s become uh heated so high and you will
961s take damage over time in addition to
964s have random equipment over heat
969s just starts overheating so the more it
971s builds up the more you start overheating
973s on every front
977s ouch so you do not want that stacking
980s which is why we have this beautiful
981s system recovery routine
983s okay heat equals curse effectively
988s I think that's a good way to look at it
992s all right
993s so now that we've brought him down
996s oh and also when you're hot uh the
998s screen gets all wavy because that's cool
999s so all the kids cool kids are doing

1004s all right as you would expect all the
1006s Cerulean units
1008s they like to fire these thermal lances
1013s these are what the zirilia combat units
1016s are gonna look like
1018s there might be a couple more little
1019s tweaks on these
1025s but of course they are painted with some
1027s very hot

1032s I believe this is a bomber maybe no
1035s that's a that's a
1037s oh okay well no this is fine we can
1040s absolutely uh
1042s well is this Alec no no no that's a
1045s redeemer won the world silly Redeemer
1048s don't worry about him

1051s except we might have to worry about him
1052s because we are taking a lot of damage
1054s all right let's do some damage and
1055s restore our health because we're a
1056s bomber
1059s oh wait that's the Cerulean drone let's

1068s also not complete just ignore the
1070s weapons sticking out at the front of it
1074s ah it's fun it's nice color palette

1079s and a couple of tweaks here and there
1089s I don't want to get too close to the uh
1091s lava down here because uh some other
1094s stuff will actually start happening if
1095s we do we'll show that though in a moment
1104s for those with really sharp ears you
1107s might even notice a new weapon sound
1115s all right so let's let's intentionally
1117s do this when we get too close to the
1119s lava we start taking damage and we
1121s overheat
1123s so don't get too close to the lava
1126s don't do it
1128s some people were asking can I swim in it

1149s let's get some space between us and Them
1155s man we need some better thrusters I

1162s do I see any bombers I don't see any
1164s bombers all right we're just gonna clear
1165s these guys out a little bit
1171s take out the Cerulean Scout and if we
1174s don't see any zerlian bombers I will
1176s bring one in
1188s ah too far away nonsense
1197s now also note that these zorrelia
1200s turrets and the zirulia platforms and
1203s all type stuff ah it's good too hot
1210s all of these are also not finished so
1213s there are still work in progress
1215s elements going on even as we're
1217s highlighting new stuff here
1236s our Shield break is working adamantly I
1240s see
1245s very much so we keep getting that
1247s trigger

1286s we also decided to go with a little bit
1287s more of like the retaliators colors just
1290s because I thought you know we showed
1291s them last time and why not I'll just
1293s paint myself up to look like them

1298s like it so let's go pick up some goods
1300s and then we'll show a little bit more of
1302s the specifics of this location I'm not
1304s gonna dig too deeply because that'll be
1306s for you to explore when this goes live
1308s uh this summer

1328s real crazy lens going on but uh
1332s we have this lava Dam it looks like
1335s let's go check that out

1355s Shields back there's a bomber all right
1361s now the bombers are not uh utilizing the
1364s stuff that they're supposed to be
1365s utilizing here
1370s I keep saying the wrong terms it's not
1372s cool it's hot
1374s I hope I didn't just kill it all right
1375s let's go get it before I I destroy it
1380s so here's the Cerulean bomber I say
1383s Cerulean I don't know if that's actually
1385s proper terminology I think it's just a
1388s zurilla bomber
1398s noise
1403s and per usual the way that these ships
1407s like each one of these ships that I'm
1408s showing you guys the reason why I'm like
1410s zooming in and like showing you details
1411s of course not it's not just a color swap
1414s there are actually new details in place
1417s on these vessels that make them distinct
1419s from their counterparts but beyond that
1423s each one of these variant ships when I
1425s say variants I'm talking like an outlaw
1427s Scout versus
1428s azurilla Scout right these variant ships
1431s have different properties about them a
1433s good way to view this would be kind of
1435s like the Blood star units that you've
1437s seen
1438s so like the Blood star uh
1441s bigger ship what the heck's it called
1443s you know which one I'm talking about it
1445s still has armor plating but when you
1447s break its armor it boosts forward and it
1449s leaves a mind behind right the standard
1452s Outlaw vessel of the same type it
1454s doesn't do that it operates differently
1456s it has turrets I believe whereas the
1458s butt star might or might not I can't
1461s remember anyway there's differences
1463s that's the point and so like the bomber
1464s here instead of it just sitting back
1468s and firing a barrage of missiles at us
1470s you're seeing quite clearly that it's
1472s not doing that it also doesn't have any
1474s anti-missile drones with it which is
1477s also a common trait of the outlaw bomber
1482s so beyond that you know you have these
1484s others earlier ships the standard Scout
1487s it's going to operate somewhat similarly
1489s to a standard Scout again it's weapons
1491s are going to be the biggest change on
1493s that front
1494s it uses thermal lances which you can see
1497s streaking across the sky right there
1499s this is actually
1500s I kind of I quite like this shot
1502s actually
1504s that's a that's a cool shot
1507s uh but uh yeah
1512s on the thermal lenses are exactly that
1514s they're incredibly burning hot basically
1516s liquid uh earth liquid liquid lava no
1519s Lava it's just lava they're just
1521s shooting lava that's basically what it
1523s is
1525s getting flanked all over the place yeah
1526s I know this is really a tactics man let
1528s me tell you what they're pretty mean
1531s I also need a better booster honestly
1548s now I do also want to point out again
1550s once more that they are not balanced
1554s sincerely like I'm not just saying that
1556s to cover my butt for dying here
1558s um we have not done a balancing pass
1560s like we we play tested when was the last
1563s play test was it yesterday oh it was
1565s yesterday
1567s we just play tested the upcoming content
1571s you know packages of it
1572s and uh it's it's it's needing to be
1575s rebalanced so yeah that's a lot of
1577s damage from a standard Scout

1589s opportunity to look at the Destroyer

1749s get applied to your ship is it stacking
1752s from getting close to Lava or is it from
1753s enemy weapons too yes it's from both
1756s so cyrillia weapons specifically that
1759s thermal Lance that I keep going back to
1762s um that is the weapon they use so
1763s anytime they hit you with their weapon
1765s they do damage and apply a stack of heat
1768s okay so all zirulia weapons apply that
1773s well most zerleo weapons apply stacks of
1775s heat whereas most Retaliator weapons
1778s apply stacks of colds
1781s that's gonna be the difference now
1783s um on the lava planets whenever you get
1785s close to Lava it's going to start
1787s burning you up right when you reach a
1791s hundred percent is when it will apply
1792s the scorched effects to your ship so
1796s you'll take slow damage over time and a
1799s random item in your equipment will
1801s overheat this can stack
1804s you can have multiple items get
1806s overheated
1808s in addition to that on the Retaliator
1811s Planet there isn't really any source
1813s that gets you really stinking cold
1817s there's not really any sights or
1819s construct there that does that because
1822s naturally you know when you get close to
1824s ice
1825s it doesn't start freezing you like it
1828s heat works differently than that so that
1830s only applies on the lava planets where
1832s heat is going to actively overheat you
1835s when you're close to it whereas the ice
1837s worlds when you're close to ice it
1839s doesn't doesn't really affect you on
1841s that front but those Retaliator weapons
1844s will
1845s so good question glad I could provide
1848s that clarity

1857s just looking at those Graphics it makes
1859s me wonder how much time you devs put to
1862s make just one of those locations yeah I
1864s mean as you know all of the locations
1866s that we've been working on are in fact
1868s handcrafted

2023s like you get to a certain spot and you
2025s just start increasing by a certain
2027s amount like it's the closer you get to

2043s but you'd probably get really hot
2046s going down there almost like you got to
2048s figure out a way to work around that

2144s just a general background here as we
2146s chat just for a moment
2148s so if you swap out a component component
2150s does the overheat transfer to a new one
2152s that's a great question mad bad I know
2154s that we had internal conversations about
2155s that because we don't want people to
2157s like gimmick around uh certain
2159s conditions and whatnot this is the same
2161s reason why it hasn't been implemented
2163s yet but we will inevitably Implement
2166s um
2167s Primary Weapons will have some sort of
2170s modifier on them when you hot swap them
2173s so that way when you're like say uh
2178s you have two weapon slots like I do and
2180s you have a third weapon and you expend
2183s the energy or something happens to one
2185s you want to swap the other one in it's
2186s like oh it's basically like you have
2188s three weapon slots we don't want that
2191s interaction that's not how it's intended
2193s like
2194s certain ships have certain weapon slots
2197s for convenience to cycle between weapons
2199s and other ones have a lack of it for a
2203s lack of convenience same reason why
2205s there's uh fewer consumables on sun
2207s ships more on others the only
2209s consistency is that there's always going
2211s to be six slots for the respective
2213s modules for the ship so hot swapping
2217s weapons there will be ramifications for
2219s that I have to double check on the front
2221s of like if something gets burnt out and
2224s um I think you can hot swap it but there
2227s still should be ramifications for what
2229s you would be replacing it with so it may
2231s or may not be desirable to you
2234s again that's something that will be
2236s incorporated just hasn't been yet so now
2239s you know

3185s can do straight up from here uh but say
3188s like you want to add something to your
3190s sick Goss Cannon uh oh we can't do that
3193s because uh we crafted these can't modify

3204s this is just an example guys if we
3205s wanted to install a catalyst like my
3207s favorite new thing is how we have these
3210s color coordinated symbols that tell you
3212s if you have all the ingredients or if
3215s you are missing ingredients but you can
3217s still craft them by crafting the missing
3220s components button
3222s so like if we wanted to do this kinetic
3223s damage
3224s like we have none right now we have to
3227s craft it but if we press f it shows us
3230s all of the different crafting components
3233s that we need in order to make it so
3236s instead of going back through our
3238s crafting map I'm going to call it a map
3241s and figuring out like the lay of the
3243s land there to get all your components in
3246s order instead you just say screw that I
3248s want a kinetic damage weapon figure it
3251s out game and it says okay
3253s okay so we crafted the missing
3255s components that's no longer there now we
3257s all we have to do is just craft and
3258s install just like that

3262s you don't have to dig through the
3264s crafting and this was not I I double

7104s game that means that if you really liked
7106s a special Wing set
7108s um from like tier one or tier two but
7110s you want a tier four ship you would be
7112s able to mix and match that through ship
7114s customization but those features because
7117s they're all surrounding
7119s um the Aesthetics of the game it's not
7122s gameplay Centric
7124s it's not added content that you will be
7127s exploring and experiencing and testing
7129s it is being reserved for that 1.0
7132s release so you will see those
7134s customization options much later might
7137s happen a little bit before 1.0 if we're
7140s really lucky but my guess is it's going
7142s to be a 1.0 special

7619s and then there's there's three from the
7621s primary so he has two different laser
7623s beams once the blue lasers and the other
7625s ones the red lasers and the secondary
7626s weapon slot firing them all and then
7628s flip you flipped around his ship while
7632s he's doing this gimmick to make it look
7634s like they're thrusters
7636s so yeah it's a glitch we've patched it
7640s out so you can't do this anymore but it
7642s still gets attention and praise because
7645s what a clever shot to utilize such a
7648s particular bug all right guys
