[2021] Birthday dance in front of cakes quest: is it bugged?

Hello everyone. I've tried to complete the first bd quest. The one that asks you to dance in front of Cakes four times. I've danced multiple times before multiple cakes with the Rick dance emote but it is stuck at 2/4 . Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Is there a workaround?
