TWO YEARS AGO I ACCIDENTALLY LINKED THE WRONG XBOX ACCOUNT WITH MY EPIC ACCOUNT SO I CANT PLAY FORTNITE ON MY MAIN GAMERTAG AND IT SUCKS. THEY JUST SAID “OH GEE THATS TOO BAD”.
HEY! YOU CAN CHANGE THE ACCOUNT THAT IS LINKED TO YOUR EPIC ACCOUNT, YOU JUST CAN'T MERGE TWO DIFFERENT EPIC ACCOUNTS. GO TO YOUR ACCOUNT AT EPICGAMES.COM THEN CLICK ON CONNECTIONS - ACCOUNTS. DISCONNECT THE XBOX ACCOUNT CURRENTLY CONNECTED. NOTE: Once you've linked your Xbox Account to your Epic Games account you will not be able to link a different Xbox account to it.
In order to unlink you have to check 4 boxes, one of which states:
I will not be able to link my Epic Games Account to another Xbox Account
How 'bout you learn the systems of the company that you work at?
You can do it but it is restricted and has a cooldown period. If you have issues trying to connect a new Xbox account you can reach out to player support and they'll be able to assist with the new connection so long as you aren't in the cool-down period.
Do you lose the cosmetics if you unlink the ps4 from the epic account ? Ex. PS4 exclusives
No, the cosmetics are on the Epic account, not the PS4 account. You will lose access to them from the Playstation that is disconnected though.
