I think there's multiple issues with them but the main one for me on console is that they don't even activate. You'll just be sitting there for a good 10 seconds completely vulnerable before they finally throw you into the shadow mode. We are gathering data on the performance now. While performance is better on Android then what it was prior to this issue, we are still working on it.

There was an issue where you could have a controller attached to your device but use touch to start a match. This allowed some players to get into touch lobbies and use a controller, this was quickly found out and fixed shortly afterward.

You can not have a controller attached and be in a touch lobby, you will be in console lobbies such as xbox and ps4. Even if in a party with a touch screen player having a controller player in the group will move the team to console matchmaking lobbies.

Android was performing much worse than iOS and was being worked on first due to that reason. Performance issues for all platforms including mobile are still being looked into at this time.
