I'm sorry to hear that you've run into some issues with your Early Access save of Grounded. When the game went to 1.0 all story progress was reset to make sure there weren't any issues with the unreleased content added in 1.0. However, you should still have all your buildings and structures left in the world.
Like the prompt says there is a chance it could be unstable and not playable. Unfortunately, regarding Steam Cloud there isn't much we can do to help with that, and I recommend reaching out to Steam for clarification.
