Hi! Creator of the video here, thanks for posting!

This is a video series I create that spawned from an attempt I did with screenshots 5 years ago but I wasn't happy with the results at the time, now I've gotten a lot better at it.

Doing this in GW2 was a challenge since I couldn't use a debug/free fly camera and instead relied on finding the exact right spots, but I think it turned out pretty well. (And hey, if Arenanet sees this, would love to do this with proper tools that allow me for better shots, feel free to hit me up ;-) )

Edit: Here are a few shots that didn't make it in the full video

Beautiful video.

As one of the people who worked on that puzzle (And the person who made that vista) I thank you for posting this, it made my day. <3

Yes, though I'm relatively new here. (I just messaged the mods about it.)

I don't know about that, but I had brought GFN up internally - since there had been a few threads about it in the last day - even before this morning's thread.

(We do read this forum!)

Some dude with his sleeve on fire trying to outrun it down a hallway.

Another guy sitting the wrong way on a toilet and laughing as he flushes it over and over, not noticing his wallet has fallen in and is causing an overflow of water.

A couple people just slamming their faces on their keyboards, stopping occasionally to sniff and or eat glue and script DRMs.

A conference room of mangers comparing boogers they are picking from each others noses.

And the art and music departments doing wonderful professional work that makes the company look competent.

Glue is delicious, though.

I would appreciate it if everyone could refrain from internet squabbling at least once in this thread. Thank you.

Honestly, I find it a bit bizarre that people ask for funds when someone passes away. My grandfather was a pastor who helped out hundreds, if not thousands of people in his lifetime, but no church helped out in the end, and the family pitched in for funeral costs and didn't ask for money from strangers. I also don't trust any foundations, given all the scandals and scams - just look at how Greenpeace gambled $5M of peoples 'donations'. Sorry if this all sounds harsh, and it's sad to hear that someone has died, but for me personally, I don't know that person, I don't trust foundations or charities, and if anyone, their family or Anet should help - not players, and I find it a bit rude asking for money, but hey, if people want to help out, that's great - I just hope any money does actually go towards funeral costs, etc. and isn't a scam.

As I mentioned in another comment, this is simply a nice gesture that I'm doing for my friend whose presence in my life meant a great deal to me. I and many others who knew him have contributed the bulk of the money raised so far, but because what he did for a living was public facing, I thought it would be nice to extend the invitation to do something nice for his family to anyone else whose life he touched, whether they knew him personally or not. I know I can't prove it by a comment on the internet, but I set this up with the blessing of Stan's wife and she is the only person who will have access to the money. There's no obligation here and you are free to ignore it.

Stan was never an employee at ArenaNet. He, like many game composers and musicians in general, was a freelancer. While I don't know the inner workings of his finances, being a freelancer is inherently unpredictable. His passing was very unexpected, and this is simply a nice gesture from someone (me) whose life he helped change for the better in an effort to give something back.

Greetings Gamers!

I am happy to announce that a new Community Tournament League will be starting up in just a couple of weeks! Run by the Hardstuck Guild, the same team that delivered the MoTA, we aim to hold one tournament every three months, which will then lead up to a larger event once per year (MoTA 2 anyone?).

If you just want the relevant information from this post, I'll include a tl;dr at the bottom, but I'm going to take a moment to go a bit more into detail.

One of our main goals with this tournament series is to try and get more players involved than just the ones we've seen in past events that we've run. We're aware that breaking into the competitive scene in this game can be challenging, and in fact quite daunting, and so that is why, with this League, we'll be introducing two separate brackets - the Open Bracket and the Invitational.

The Open Bracket is available to anyone who hasn'...

or at least can anyone explain this 'Black Box' phenomenon?

I believe it's just how NCSoft operates.

The parent company's (NCSoft Korea, not NCWest) website doesn't list any information about its leadership team, either.

Hello everyone. As some of you may have seen over the last couple of weeks here and elsewhere on social media, Stan LePard, composer and orchestrator for Guild Wars 2, the Halo series, Destiny, and many other titles from Microsoft, PopCap, and others, passed away unexpectedly. Stan was a good friend as well as a colleague, and he had been working on Guild Wars 2 right up until the present day with the Icebrood Saga.

I've set up a fund to help support his family as they recover from this awful situation. If you are able, I'd greatly appreciate a donation of any amount. After GoFundMe takes out their fees, 100% of the money will go to Stan's wife.

I know Stan would really appreciate the support the community has shown for him and his music in the last few weeks. Thanks for reading.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the kind words about Stan, both here and on Twitter. I'm absolutely devastated by this news, but it's been amazing to see the outpouring of support from the community.

Stan was a fundamental piece of Guild Wars 2's music post launch, in ways that are hard to quantify. I'm happy that his legacy will live on in the game, as well as the other games he was a part of, and in the hearts of fans all around the world.

As I mentioned, there is a plan in early stages to set up some sort of support fund for his family as they deal with their loss. I'll post something about it here when it's been solidified. Thank you again.

Her writing is going well since then! She's self-publishing and has two novels out on Amazon now. If you're interested I can DM you the links.

Send 'em over.
