You can try adding "-window-mode exclusive -force d3d9" to the game arguments in Steam to force exclusive fullscreen and improve input lag and performance but I just tried and it seems it's not working anymore. Unfortunately I have fps spikes currently for this reason.

I think this game has anticheat? I ask because I use Special K(https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Special_K) in my games, which is very useful because it can add a very good vsync and has the ability to eliminate the performance issues and input lag in games when they are not running in exclusive fullscreen but the problem is that I don't want to risk getting banned since I don't know if it can be detected as cheating by the anticheat in the game.

Sorry but I'm not understanding, can you explain to me what do you mean by take effect? In my case, I'm using it to eliminate the issues caused by not running a game in Exclusive Fullscreen and it seems to have worked from my quick test. I mean could you improve the frames when running our game with this tool?
