Hello Everyone!
The 2021 summer version meets you as scheduled.

In this update, we've introduced a new hero (the first female hero:), new weapons, a new random boss, revamped talent system, new occult scrolls, reincarnation difficulty, and more. We wish you would enjoy them! If you encounter any issues or have any suggestions, please feel free to contact us. We will value your opinions and try our best to optimize the game based on your feedback.

In addition, we have good news to share: Gunfire Reborn has sold over 1.5 million copies! We will continue our work and present you with more awesome content in this winter. Meanwhile, we prepare an early access 1st anniversary avatar frame for you. Players who own Gunfire Reborn before July 9, 2021 will get this avatar frame for free. Thank you all for your love and support!

Finally, the fourth stage that many players are looking forward to is under development. As we all know, this part of work requires a lot of time and resources. We will do our best to introduce the fourth stage in 1.0 version as planned. Please stay tuned~

Update Notes: Hero New Hero:[Tao]
  • Introduction:
    Tao, who is a master in the art of sword control, is keen to manipulate her royal flying sword to strike all foes. Meanwhile, she can condense her energy into petals, dealing hidden injuries against enemies with her [Fatal Bloom]


  • Unlock Requirement:Spend 400 soul essences

  • Skills:
    1.Primary Skill (E): Swords Out
    Unsheathe multiple flying swords, each dealing 200 DMG. The number of flying swords is determined by the stacks of [Blade Heart]. Each stack can summon 3 flying swords. For every 15 ammo consumed, gain 1 stack of [Blade Heart] (up to 6 stacks)


    2.Secondary Skill (Q): Fatal Bloom
    Summon petals in the front that explode outwards, marking all enemies within 6 meters and dealing 400 damage. The mark lasts for 6 seconds. [Fatal Bloom] deals DMG to a marked enemy again every time you hit it 12 times


  • Talents:
    1.Blade in Heart: +5% [Swords Out] DMG for every [Blade Heart] you have
    2.Galloping Speed: For each enemy you kill, +10% movement speed for 8s (up to 5 layers)
    3.Long-lasting Bloom: Restore 1 use for every 5 enemies marked by [Fatal Bloom]
    4.Superior Magazine: +30% Magazine Capacity and Reload Speed
    5.Resilient Shield:Recharge shield immediately after killing an enemy, and shield recharge won't be interrupted in 3s

Monsters
  • New BOSS [Abyssal Serpent] It is said that there was a fabled mountain in the distant sea, which is called the residence of the immortals. Once, there was a mythical snake that caused chaos in the sea. The immortals appeared and sealed it under the ocean's watery abyss. The sea waves began to calm down, and there was no trouble for thousands of years.
    Unlock Requirement: Kill [Yoruhime-Maru] 3 times


  • [Golem] Skill Adjustments:
    Reduced the time it takes to launch his fists in different difficulty, and increased the flying speed of fists
    Decreased the explosion range of the stone pillars when destroyed
    Increased the number and flying speed of homing stones when Golem’s HP is low
    Decreased the recovery time of certain skills

  • Adjusted manipulation duration for any monster: when manipulation effect is repeatedly applied to the same monster, the duration will be shortened. But the resistance effect will now only last 15 seconds instead of last forever

  • Increased the explosion range and DMG to monsters of the barrel carried by [Rogue Arsonist] when destroyed by players, and removed its explosion DMG to players.

    Does not apply to dual-wield
    +1 use for weapon skill when you hit enemies 12 times continuously in 10s
    Weapon Skill: release a blade wave that penetrates the enemy (Blade wave deals additional damage based on the enemy's current HP)

    1)+100% Lucky shot chance on the next hit after landing shot twice
    2)Weapon skill deals +45% DMG for each enemy it passes through
    Unlock Requirement: Kill [Elite Catfish Warrior] 3 times

    Weapon Skill: Unleash a fire wheel
    Exclusive Inscription: +100% Lucky shot chance on the second-phase attack when attacking enemies with more than 50% HP

Talent 2.0 & Reincarnation Difficulty
    Revamped the Talent system and added [reincarnation] difficulty (unlocked after clearing the nightmare difficulty once). Players can use soul essence to enhance attributes and purchase enhanced props in this difficulty.
  • Unused soul essences will be retained, you can allocate them in "Talent" page
  • Added some talents, and adjusted positions of talents
    *Note: After update, all soul essences will be returned, please re-allocated your talents in "Talent" page*
Added [Reincarnation] Difficulty
  • Unlock Requirement: Clear nightmare difficulty once
    **Each time you pass the reincarnation difficulty, you will unlock the next level of reincarnation difficulty. Currently reincarnation difficulty has 7 levels.

  • There are two new NPCs in reincarnation difficulty:
    Spiritual Remnant: appear at the entrance of each act in reincarnation difficulty, you can consume soul essences to obtain spiritual blessing which will enhance your attributes
    Phantom Peddler: randomly appear in stages of reincarnation difficulty, you can consume soul essences to buy enhanced weapons and occult scrolls

    *【Splinter Orb】
    When casting Energy Orb, two additional energy orbs are launched to the left and right of the main energy orb at the same time

Occult Scrolls
    New Normal Scrolls:
  • [Effective Split]
    Quality: Normal
    Effect: Randomly get 2 occult scrolls and cannot discard them
    Unlock Requirement: Kill [Elite Corrupt Monk] 1 time

  • [Mysterious Chest]
    Quality: Normal
    Effect: Randomly get 1-3 occult scrolls when picking up this scroll. (Extremely small chance of obtaining cursed scrolls)
    Unlock Requirement: Kill [Dragon Qian] 1 time

  • [Good and Evil]
    Quality: Normal
    Effect: +15% Lucky shot chance if you don't own any cursed scroll; +15 max shield/armor for each cursed scroll you own

    New Cursed Scrolls:
  • [Clumsy Throw]
    Effect: When using the secondary skill, its consumption has a 50% chance to increase by 1

  • [Moldy Bun]
    Effect: Recover random HP when obtaining buns
    Note: Effect can be offset by [Gourmet]

  • [Broken Gun]
    Effect: 15% chance to cause only 1 DMG upon hitting an enemy

  • [Sabotaged Magazine]
    Effect: 20% chance of losing 1 additional ammo in magazine for each shot

  • Victory of Tao: Win a game as Tao
  • Sword Storm: Summon more than 10,000 flying swords with Tao
  • Pacified Serpent: Defeat Abyssal Serpent for the first time
  • Drown Into Nightmare: Complete nightmare difficulty for the first time
  • 1 Life Clear: Complete any difficulty without spending any soul essence to revive

  • Added a new vault in [Duo Fjord]
  • Optimized 3 routes in [Longling Tomb-Stage 4]
  • Adjusted the seal-guarding challenge in [Duo Fjord]

Daily Challenges
  • Added a new special effect [Inevitable Freeze] in the theme [Elite Sniper]
    [Inevitable Freeze]: The next shot will freeze enemies for 1.5s every 6s
  • Adjusted the special effect [Exploding Bullet] in the theme [Elite Sniper]
    Original: Killing an enemy will cause an explosion.
    New: Cause an explosion when the monster is hit twice or killed (explosion range and damage is positively correlated with CritX)
  • Adjusted one of the main effects of the theme [Crystal Seeker]
    Original: Gain 1 stack after picking up a crystal (up to 5 stacks). Grants +10% Reload Speed, +10% Rate of Fire & +20% Lucky Shot Chance for each stack, and guarantees critical hits at maximum stacks. The more stacks you have at once, the faster stacks decay.
    New: Gain 1 stack after picking up a crystal (up to 5 stacks). Grants +9% Reload Speed, 8% Rate of Fire & +15% Lucky Shot Chance for each stack, and guarantees critical hits at maximum stacks. The more stacks you have at once, the faster stacks decay.
  • The new talent [Golden Touch] is not available in the daily challenge theme [Economic Pressure]

User Interface
  • Improved the vault icons on the minimap to distinguish the finished vaults from the unfinished ones
  • Re-added the V-sync option in game setting
  • Simplified some ascensions' introductions that are too wordy
  • Improved the item color to make the items with different rarity more distinguishable
  • Improved the quality of the copper icon
  • Rearranged the peddler's items to make the occult scrolls always be listed in the last slot

Special Effects & Models
  • Optimized the model and animation of [Lei Luo]
  • Optimized the special effect of [Lei Luo]'s [Chain Lightning] in third person perspective

6/18 Additional Update: After the major update went live, we have received lots of feedback regarding the model design of the new heroine [Tao].
