[2020] Love this game! The learning curve is steeeep, any tips for a new player?

Just started playing today, I was pretty good at apex, warzone, firestorm, never played fort nite. Ofcourse me being me I over play games, get pretty good, and once I peak I burn out, so I’m really excited to have another BR to burn out on. Anyway any tips for a new player? So far I’ve been going after the harpy and ripper, with slam and teleport as my hacks. Haven’t been able to get a feel for the explosive weapons. I feel like I’m doing decent for my first day of play but like anyone else, can use a few pointers. I’m a console player, does anyone have some tips that they wish they knew when they first started playing? Cheers, hope to meet you on the hyperscape, friend or do.
