I've noticed many of the proper nouns we know relating to Hytale seem to be based in Roman culture and myth:

Gaea is the Greco-Roman deity of the earth.

Fauns, a race present in Hytale, are copied straight from Roman myth. (Fauns are the Roman equivalent of the more well known Greek Satyrs.)

Orbis, the name of the overworld dimension, is also a Latin word that can mean "the world".

Varyn could possibly borrow from the Latin root word "varus" which among other things can mean "opposed" or "contrasting".

The thing is, I don't know Latin. My analysis was done using Google Translate and some words I incidentally happened to know. But if someone here does know Latin, it might allow us to make some guesses about other things in the game. For instance, the other dimensions are called Nexus (another word that comes from Latin), Numdrassl, Tor'balyn, and Karpak. Are there any Latin roots those names borrow from that might give us some hints as to what they're like?
