Actually yes. I can provide more info about the issue on hand.

Void Knight Warpath Standard spin to win build.

I get the fps dip even without enemies on the screen. The moment I start spinning I will get a dip and stutter (2-3fps) every 15-20s.

Happens on every mono I am in and also in between (zone b4 mono, the one with merchant and chest).

Don't think it's performance as I have tried a game on super low res and minimum details and it still does the same. Runs smooth 60, dips to 57, stutter and goes back to 60. Same thing with capped 30fps.

I'll take a look in the evening is this happening only with warpath or with just running as well.

Will test other skills too. Perhaps you are right that this may be connected to the skill itself.

Appreciate the kind words and glad you’re enjoying it! I’d be interested to see your skill tree on warpath as there may be an augment that’s not optimized for performance

Typically is there’s a dip in performance it’s related to a specific action happening. If you let us know the action you’ve taken when you see the decrease we’re pretty quick to be able to fix it. Do you recall what skill you were using, enemies were on screen, zone you were in or anything like that?

That’s actually a very solid thought and would make sense. Are you a developer of some sort?

I’ll run this by the team as a potential for what was causing this because we tried to repro it a lot tonight and couldn’t but the servers were back to normal

Oh yea we definitely agree. We all want it back asap too. We have a dev who was nearly done with getting that functionality back for the next hotfix but we pulled him to help the backend team with transition times. We’ll be back on this one Monday

Yep we’ll be releasing this change in an upcoming patch. This UX was pretty awful with the increased scene transition times the last 48 hours, so apologies for that.

We’re aware that item tooltips are heavy on FPS at the moment. Like others have said, because of when you interact with them this hasn’t been the highest priority to optimize yet but it’s on our dev tracker to get to. Thanks for the report though.

We come and look at feedback very frequently so don’t feel like you need to amass an army to get our attention. I’m the game director and I check this stuff very frequently and so do our designers and devs.

I don’t know if that helps, but it’s the one suggestion I’ve seen floated.

This is what I was going to post. Crashes like you’re stating are not widespread which means it could be a corrupt file (verify Steam files), driver issues, or something local.

If you guys are experiencing frame rate dips in a certain scenario that’s helpful to report. Typically when we hear of frame rate issues these days it’s either a certain skill interaction or area which we can target and address quite quickly. Other than that it’s often just the users PC being lower in specs. From the specs you’ve posted though your game should be running very smooth.

Id ask my dev/design team to come in and answer quite a lot if this was put together. They still come and try to communicate in many posts but this would be more succinct
