Lol fun fact, I was the observer for this game. Terrible job... Didn't know where to look LOL
Love the hype you bring to the action and how you come up with memorable lines to immortalize moments. “Rebuilds his throne with the skulls of his enemies”? Sheeeeeeesh.
Thought of it either that morning or somewhere during the first two games. Was like “ok yeah I gotta find a place to use that” and thankfully he had some pop off plays.
I’m glad you liked the casts! Had a blast with those games, too!
Love you Phreak <3
Love me too <3
I don’t know you but I assume you’re pretty cool. You at least have good taste in shoutcasters.
oh nice, new phreak lore just dropped
Happy to help :)
would you know that word if nilah wasn't released? that's how i learned it lol
great job casting btw!
I used to play DotA: Allstars under the name "Apotheosis." in like 2006, though I used the lesser-used pronunciation of "ah-puh-THEE-uh-sis"
And thanks!
Kudos for the use of the word apotheosis! Love ya Phreak!
TY :)
LPL casters spent a lot of time before and during DRX vs EDG games emphasizing the fact that Zeka did literally nothing noteworthy during his tenure in the LPL.
That's what makes Zeka's story so compelling. In his three year long pro career, he hadn't won a best of 5 until the regional qualifiers at the end of the LCK summer split.
Goes on to be one of, if not the, best-performing mid at the world championship.
They were right to bring up his lack of accolades. And it makes the apotheosis that much cooler.
Hope has only played Jhin twice in the LPL. He played two games on it in spring and never touched it again. He was good on it, yeah, but only having two games on it makes me think that wasn't a comfort pick. If they were gonna go full comfort I think we would have seen Missing on Thresh too.
Sorry, when I say comfort pick I don't mean "this is my secret pocket pick", more like "coach, I want to play this, this game"
Clearly American saying Pele lol, don't say things you don't have a clue about.
Lifelong soccer player and fan, comes from my Peruvian side, and I see nothing wrong with putting Pelé as the GOAT. Assuming someone’s nationality and using that as a basis to be condescending, dismissive, and exclusionary, though? I see plenty wrong with that.
Just wanna say Jatt as a korean I really enjoyed your breakdowns, in a different way from others, korean or not, and hope that you don't let the haters get to you.
Thanks!
this time around, he isnt talking abt matchups that much unlike previous episodes
Yeah... the games were more explosive than most of the QF matchups so the lane vs. lane happened less and I thought it'd be better to talk about the drafts/biggest moments in the games more
You should be very mad at the coaching team for allowing your botlane to pick jhin karma
i'm not saying it's impossible for pro players to make draft mistakes but if youre in an elimination game, as a player, youre probably gonna ask to play what you feel comfortable on rather than what is theoretically the best pick and it's kinda wild to me that there's a pervasive attitude on reddit that they know what to do in that situation better than people who are one of the top 4 teams in the world
it's not like these players are picking these champions to take a dive
i feel like if i went to the worlds finals and i lost like this to t1 i wouldn't even be mad. they're cracked
Unfortunately the series is best of 5.
I was supporting T1 this series, don’t get me wrong. I just wanted to give Yagao credit where it was due.
