How large are the log files? Are they plaintext? could just use pastebin potentially
Couple of MB max. Binary.

Sorry I get that, I am asking from a data collection perspective (my job, currently). What is the advantage of reddit over even google forms, which allows you to automatically collect standardized data? Do you have some text-to-csv tool or are you collecting by hand?
TBH, I didn’t expect such a torrent of information :0 All I need are half a dozen good RPDs. I’ll be collating this data by hand. Mind you, a couple of other performance problems have become clearer here, so there is a benefit to this unstructured data collection.
I'm not sure if I've experienced this exactly, but yesterday during a game I did have some strange FPS stuttering that would come and go but it was only during laning phase, as in around somewhere between 5-15 minutes.
And my fps has only started stuttering this noticebly yesterday, on my first and only (currently) game on 12.20
I'm not too sure if this is what you're looking for, would it be helpful if I provide the file anyways?
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: Palit Gamerock OC 3080 (LHR I believe if it matters) Drivers: 522.25 (Latest Game Ready Driver)
I'll get the file once I'm back at my PC and upload it if needed.
If you experience that slow down again, send me that file. Even if it’s a different issue, it still might be useful.
Can I ask why you are using reddit for data collection?
Because we can't clearly identify this particular type of performance degradation from our data. So we need to talk to people who are experiencing it in order to collect enough data to isolate the cause.
Ive been in contact with your support team, i tested disabling everything in my PC, clean OS install and test it and nothing worked out in the end. One thing someone told me that worked for them was disabling multithreading on their CPU. From what Im seeing in the comments a lot of the specs use ryzen 2600s. Weird thing is this didnt happen previously and started happening 6 months ago. Mine happens consistently at minute 6-8 and stops mid game basicaly
Yup. That's the bug I'm chasing. And I suspect its AMD specific (might not be their fault, but it is evident on their HW).
stays low or erratic for about 5 minutes or so
Can you give an example of this with expected fps?
It doesn't necessarily show up as a visible FPS value being low as the FPS calculation is an average over a few seconds so even quite frequent spikes can missed due to the averaging process. This problem feels really bad, quite choppy as not every frame is bad, but just enough are bad enough to make it feel bad.
At least that's from the feedback I've had and from the few RPDs that show the issue.
CPU:i5 6600k overclocked to 4.1ghz
GPU: Nvidia gtx 1060 6gb
GPU driver version: Driver Version: 522.30
Reproduction rate: happens every game, currently playing URF mostly and it happens in early to mid game.
Overlay: bltiz.gg
Yes running game in direct x 11
Thanks for the RPD file!
It doesn't look like you're experiencing the issue I'm looking for here, but here's what I saw in that game. You started with a decent frame rate (144+) for the first couple of minutes, stuck at around 100fps with drops to 80fps at points (probably team fights). What is odd is that your CPU load is quite high throughout the game, running at around 70% (up to 100% at times). It should be half that.
Did you have anything else running on your system at the same time?
CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20 GHz
GPU: Intel (R) UHD Graphics
GPU driver version: 31.0.101.2111
Reproduction Rate: Every game
No overlays or anything else running except discord.
Thank you for that RPD.
The issue you're having is a separate one. You're running at about 60fps for most of the game, with slowdowns to around 20fps. Your CPU load is constantly around 70%, occasionally hitting 100%.
Your GPU is doing OK, but your CPU is really struggling.
Which is not surprising because your system is below the minimum spec - we recommend at least an i3-530 (2.93GHz). Sorry. Time to upgrade?
Not sure about a streamer, but apparently they had issues with it on the worlds stage.
No. That's something completely different. What I'm looking for here is a sustained slowdown after about 5 minutes, for a number of minutes.
Got a place where we can send our dxdiag files as well as the rpd?
If you have google drive or drop box you could just share from that.
I wasn't game to post a private link that others could put stuff in to:)
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good way to anonymously do this?
Can you guys do a detailed report on what you find back to the community since you're asking for help in finding it from the community?
That would be really interesting to see what the root cause/fix is.
Thanks.
Absolutely.
You guys finally acknowledged this issue ...?
Let me guess a streamer cried about it ? Anyways ...
Sweet and short
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: RX 580
GPU driver: Recent
Reproduction: It happens every game starts around 7-10 min when the buffs are about to respawn.
Overlays:no
DX9: Did not make a difference
Turning off SMT/Hyperthreading made it 2x times worse so i keep it on.
Hopefully u finally fix it (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
Awesome! An RPD! Thanks!
I had a look at that and there is no unusual slow down in that game. Maybe your last game was ok?
There is a slight slowdown at the start due to focus being away from the game, but the rest of the game is running at around 7ms per frame (around 144fps) with the occasional drop to 10ms (100fps).
I used to get this exact issue with a Ryzen 1600 and windows 7 (yes i know those are technically incompatible, i made it work), but it vanished along with the ryzen CPU scheduler improvements in windows 10.
Which microsoft has broken on and off over time, so maybe check with them 👀
edit: yeah, looks like microsoft screwed ryzen again. or someone did. Someone says process lasso (only physical cores, only single core cluster/CCD) fixes it, which also worked for me years ago.
Currently using an R5 3600 with windows 10 enterprise LTS 2021, and have not experienced this issue since, including this patch.
Yeah. I suspect its a third party issue, but in order to work with the responsible parties need to be able to provide a repro. Which is tricky.
wouldn't you want to know monitor/display as well?
No thanks. Monitor/display shouldn't have any relevance to this issue.
Always this. If are running 2 monitors with windows mode you'll get janky ass phantom "alt-tabs" where you're still in game with mega FPS drops
Do you mean that when you change focus from the game to another window, the frame rate tanks?
If so, then that is by design.
You can fix that by adding MillisecondsToSleepWhileSuspended=0
to the [General]
section of your game.cfg file (found in League of Legends/Config/game.cfg
)
I've been having this issue for almost a year now non stop with frame drops and what seems like lower than displayed FPS.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six core
GPU: NVIDIA Gtx 1650
GPU driver version: Latest versions for the past 6 months
Reproduction rate: Every game around the 9-10 min mark lasting until around 25 mins.
Overlays: None I used to run blitz but I don't anymore.
I haven't played a game in awhile (2 weeks or so) or I would include logs but hope this helps some!
Thanks for your info. Even if the game is 2 weeks old the rpd file would be useful.
Read moreFor over 4 months now there has been an FPS bug where people lose a lot of fps anywhere between the 5-10 minute mark. The only fix is to reconnect and gain some FPS back (still not as to how it was pre-12.11) or to go into bios to disable some settings (I read that this also doesnt 100% fix it). STILL NO FIX FOR THIS BUG IN THE PATCH NOTES
It has been reported in every patch bug megathread since the one from June 18th:
I've just started a thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/y8nnm2/league_fps_midgame_slowdown_call_for_details/) to gather more information on this. Please check it out and leave your information there so we can finally figure this out.
We (Riot Devs) are aware that some Players are experiencing a bug where the frame rate of League or TFT drops suddenly somewhere between the 5 to 10 minute mark and stays low or erratic for about 5 minutes or so. We have been unable to reproduce this issue internally, so we’re reaching out to you, the players, directly to try and identify the cause of this issue.
If you are experiencing these symptoms, please respond with details in the following format;
Optionally (you don’t have to do these, but this information may help)
Hey everyone, the team just finished working on this issue and we've come to the conclusion that we did indeed make a mistake. You are correct, if you played 70 games during this worlds pass compared to the previous one, you'd be down approximately 205 tokens. This is because we folded 5 weekly missions' worth of tokens (at 200 tokens each) into the rewards track rather than 6 weekly missions' worth.
It was an honest mistake due to navigating new challenges that came with our first New Pass experience and launching at Worlds. Excuses aside, we want to reiterate that we messed up and we're going to make it right. We're updating the Empyrean missions (launching in patch 12.21) to grant an additional 4400 Pass XP across those 10 missions. In other words, if a mission rewarded 300 XP before, it will now reward 740 XP. The total XP rewarded for all 10 Empyrean missions will be 8300 XP. That's the equivalent of another 11 pass mileston...

I'm working on something. Hang tight. :)
