No, game's are intentionally unfair.
They don't put you in a game where you theoretically have a 50% chance to win based on ranks, otherwise you reach true MMR too quickly and stop playing. They give you 5 games where you have a 55% chance of winning, then 5 games where you have a 45% chance of winning and you climb by consistently outperforming in games you're supposed to lose. Makes the climb significantly harder than if you were consistently placed in fairly matched games. Pretty disgusting practice, but it keeps players playing.

Yep! We'll adjust the amount up if an event is ever shorter than normal (as in, we'll make your progress through the pass faster for an event through mission XP to make up for a reduction in time to play).

So I like the idea that the region that wins, and the 2nd strongest region in recent events have 4 seeds. EU have 3 seeds as the historic "3rd best region". If riot actually was to remove a seed from NA, I don't think it would be fair to give it to EU, having 3 major regions at 4 seeds, and then NA, VCS and PCS stuck at 2.
Personally, I would love to give the LJL a 2nd seed. I don't watch that region myself, so Idk if it's just DFM bullying a bunch of worse teams, but I think that's besides the point. LJL has been one of the minor regions finding more and more sucess in recent years, and if they got a 2nd seed into playins you could argue that will also help improve the region since it won't just be DFM getting all the international experience, with no one else to challenge them domestically.
