Crusaders of the Lost Idols

Crusaders of the Lost Idols Dev Tracker

Tracking would be ideal, but if it is too difficult to implement, then an alternative would be a single reward when reaching a second "completion", very high area (e.g. the max 16000 of material mining). With some of the objectives that would be quite challenging even for veteran players. That said, I'm not sure materials (or rubies) would be incentive enough, perhaps some additional runes, rune chests, or challenge tokens?

There could also be intermediate rewards that can be won every time provided they are small (e.g. idols, given that, as it is, the gain of idols in objectives and even in freeplay is insiginificant compared to dungeons)

Incentives for going deep has been a consistent request over the years. I'll add your ideas to the item on the suggestion list and we'll see what happens.

But there was no incentive to surpass the completion area for objectives. In fact, for many objectives - especially in the early days - we were doing them when we were just barely able to complete them, certainly not going 500 areas further. AS there was no material mining then, it could just be assumed on the first replay that one's high was only to completion - and if you implemented tracking fairly quickly there would only be a very little overlap with some of the objectives done since the talent's recent release.
(And not everyone has bothered even on these recent objectives to surpass the goal far enough to use the new talent anyway. I haven't, anyway. And DrS above is waiting to max the talent - so would there be much double-dipping?).

True, assumptions could be made about the past completion of objectives.

I'll discuss it with the team and we'll see what happens.

At some point, if you are looking for a massive release of "almost zero effort for dev" content for end gamers, you should add a T6/11th (or whatever) that resets ALL objectives. You would then have literally months of content for end game folks to go back through all the old objectives and try to max them for material mining. Maybe this is sadistic content, I'm not sure I have a bad filter for such things!

That definitely would be a lot of content, and a little sadistic since there's no sprint on objectives, but it would be an idea.

Thanks, I appreciate the consideration. Sometimes, 100 areas or so is really about the best you can do due to objective "extra complications" (slower speed due to available crusaders or things auto-killing, slots getting replaced, etc.), especially on the upper tiers. Or at least, you may not be able to get 500 more areas...

True, there are definitely those objectives that would be tricky, if the formation is full of escorts after a certain area, etc.

50 is within doable range for pushing the extra distance. Buffs, legendaries, rune changes.

Interesting, thanks for the insight. :)

objectives twice, this is needed if you want to max out your gain.
No biggie, just OCD, but it got me thinking, more generally,
would it not enhance a lot the replayability of the game if we could replay
these objectives and try to beat our previous score, provided there would be an
incentive to do so? Of course to avoid abusive farming the original reward
should only be won once, and any additional reward from material farming (or
possibly others) won only if one does go above the previous score (e.g. reaching
6500 should net only one more bundle of materials if previous score was 6000). The
great advantage of this over dungeons (although these are great too) is that objectives
force us to play differently (different formations, special conditions, etc.)
and thus to boost and use diffe...

Thank you for the feedback on the talent.

We've had requests to replay objectives in the past, so I'll add your vote to that item on the suggestion list.

We don't currently store how far you got on an objective, just that you reached the area required to complete it and trigger the completed state, so beating your high score for an objective for Material Mining wouldn't be something we would consider adding.

I meant to write something about this earlier because now I've forgotten exactly which one, but Euodia's Heavenly Defender skin does not make her eligible for use on an objective that I did recently. Maybe the Hellmouth event for angel? Or something requiring having wings?

There was an issue with the flag for her skin, but we resolved that for sure on Tuesday with the game update we did.

Can you give us some info on what is to come with the next dungeon season? what rewards/difficulties do we have to look forward to?

what about difficulty curve? the last season could be tackled to level 40 in less than 2 weeks, yet we had about 10 times that amount of time to get it done

Hi XZlayeD,

So as I've mentioned before, difficulty 4 will be there, and we've extended the amount of extra reward levels beyond level 25 so players can get some more prizes for their points. It's taskmasters instead of skins this season. The new dungeon Crusader astronaut friend.

Season 5 should not be finished in 2 weeks, since we've changed the drop scaling again, though I suppose someone could prove me wrong by spending all their dungeon coins on sprinting for points.

Hi jambonatorrr,

The season 5 Crusader will be an Human Male Astronaut Crusader, which should be fun. :)

Hello! I wanted to report that the recipes for the ongoing event seem to be open already. I just recruited Aphelion and have gotten one of his rare recipes immediately after, through a recipe mission. Same for the common/uncommon recipes for Zoraeban. Feel free to ignore if the game is working as intended. Thank you for putting lots of energy and care into this game.

Hi invento_kave,

That would be a bug. We'll get them locked up for the next 2 weeks and change.

For when can we expect the beginning of the 5th season?

Hi Sarali1533,

We're still aiming for Wed Sept 29th, and we're on track so far, so cross fingers. :D

PS. And there was also an idea to distribute promotional codes to the DLC during streams, or in some other way (in response to my suggestion to repeat the distribution as before through the keys issued to various promotional sites). But as far as I can see, it was abandoned.

We're not planning on giving Steam keys to promotional sites for Crusaders DLC at this time.

I got my tier 5 objectives all done (took longer to do as I wanted to try and get extra materials from Material Mining by pushing past the objective areas where you could). I noticed that it pays out the extra materials every 500 areas, any chance you guys might consider having it pay out 1/5th of that amount every 100 extra areas instead?

Now sprinting until Dungeons Season 5 drops. Looking forward to another season of dungeons and the goodies it brings!

You're welcome for the chests.

Congrats on completing the objectives!

If there's enough requests for it, we may look at making Material Mining give out partial rewards instead of for exactly 500 areas.

Cheers!

Nice luck on the Epic score! :D

Erica, hello!
Thanks for the last crusaders (both accumulating buffs with saving progress, and quickly accumulating a large boost), they will greatly help in the passage of Dungeons.
I wanted to clarify - are there any preliminary options for reducing the cost of Dungeon items from the first two seasons? Or maybe there will be additional ways to get Dungeon Coins (missions or talents)?
And as always - thanks for the chests!

Hi dimitrius5naj,

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the crusaders. :D

Since we're back to the Crypt theme for season 5, we're reducing the Dungeon Coin cost of the Lil' Reaper taskmaster from season 1.

We don't plan on adding more sources of dungeon coins at this time though, but we'll keep the request in mind.

Cheers!
