[2020] Is something broken with the matchmaking for standard ranked?

I just finished 11 games with my Mardu Cleave and after 8 straight were Izzet spells, I decided to change my deck to fight izzet with Izzet.

Now I’ve gotten 2 scute swarm decks and a gruul matchup.

It can just be variance, but looking at the top results for standard it seems like I should be seeing Big Red or Esper everywhere and I haven’t seen them once. The ques were also taking 30 seconds plus when I ran Mardu and now finding games instantly since switch.

TLDR: Is Arena matching us up based off of archetypes or something? I’ve played off and on since Rivals of Ixalan and while there were periods of only netdecks (looking at you cauldron trigger stumblers) I’ve never had what feels like a curated matchmaking process before.
