Not so much a bug as a design mistake; but I'll certainly take the blame for it. I'm fixing this for the next engine update.

In the interest of fast gameplay, Arena really doesn't want you to have priority during many steps and phases, including your own End Step. We added a special provision in the last update for your opponents flashing in permanents, but included logic to clear out the flag that could give you further priority whenever you took an action.

We expected players who wanted to perform multiple actions here would put a manual stop in the step or go into full control. Clearly that's not the case; we've gotten quite a few complaints here! So next time, we're only clearing the flag when players move on from the step/phase where the special stop was triggered. #wotc_staff

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on August 8th at 8AM PT (15:00 UTC) to deploy the 0.17.02.00 game update.

Maintenance is expected to last approximately three hours. The in-game store will be unavailable during this time, and there will be a required update. Players who are logged in prior to the start of maintenance will be required to restart their client to download the patch.

Patch notes will be available once maintenance is complete.

Appreciate the feedback. As always, we continue to look at both player feedback as well as data on the participation and impact of these events and use that information to inform our future designs.

There are a lot of different players who want different things. Some people enjoy a more de-powered environment that feels more casual like the Ravnica - Guild Battle event, while others want to do overpowered and broken things like in Omniscience draft. Some people don't like deckbuilding and feel locked out of an event if they don't have a deck that feeds into an emblem, while others enjoy a brewing challenge and are looking for that type of environment specifically.

We have to strike a balance and understand every event isn't for everyone. I would rather have a bunch of events where some people hated some and loved others but everyone found at least one they loved, rather than events that everyone felt "meh" about.

We also offer these event rewards later in pa...
