| 527s | that's right following the announcement |
| 529s | of monant Wilds we thought hey now's a |
| 532s | really good time to jump into world and |
| 534s | make the most of the massive discount it |
| 536s | currently has across all platforms isn't |
| 538s | that right Joe yeah it is the lowest |
| 541s | price I believe it's ever been on sale |
| 542s | for uh on all platforms so it's been an |
| 546s | amazing time to go back to the game um |
| 548s | if you have never uh played the game |
| 550s | before um it's it's just a great time to |
| 552s | get in so and we've been seeing a lot of |
| 554s | people jump back into the game with all |
| 556s | the excitement around the brand and it's |
| 558s | just been awesome right it has oh I see |
| 560s | our names have flipped but it's okay |
| 561s | they both start with J so you know you |
| 564s | you'll figure it out you got a 50% |
| 566s | chance of getting our names right yeah |
| 568s | yeah it's it's pretty easy prettyy |
| 570s | easy and but yeah so yeah we are |
| 572s | officially hash return toor and we have |
| 575s | brand new Hunters here they are fresh |
| 578s | off of the boat into the new world so |
| 580s | obviously this is our new take on the |
| 582s | weekly Community Live Stream So now |
| 584s | every Thursday between 5 and 7M GMT |
| 587s | we're going to be doing some hunts um so |
| 589s | to start things off though me and Joe |
| 590s | we're going to settle back in we're |
| 592s | going to do a couple of hunts together |
| 593s | and as we get near the end of this |
| 594s | stream we will open up the lobby so |
| 597s | Hunters if you've not got a brand new |
| 599s | Hunter already Now's the Time to make |
| 601s | one so you can jump in and join us on |
| 604s | this journey isn't that right Joe oh |
| 606s | yeah I literally made this Hunter uh |
| 609s | last night um it's it's the morning here |
| 610s | in the US so I made this one last night |
| 613s | and I made everything uh completely |
| 615s | brand new so we're not using any |
| 617s | Guardian armor or anything we want that |
| 618s | true uh new player experience for the |
| 620s | very first time as if it was 2018 so |
| 622s | it's been pretty cool to go back oh |
| 624s | absolutely I mean you know we've been |
| 626s | playing so much rise and Sun break and |
| 628s | yeah to kind of go back back uh to world |
| 631s | it's you know my muscle memory first of |
| 633s | all my sword and shield I'm getting used |
| 634s | to that but yeah it's it's a nice bit of |
| 636s | nostalgia even though I've only kind of |
| 637s | delved into the Ancient Forest itself oh |
| 641s | yeah yeah it's been really cool going |
| 642s | back just seeing all the cut scenes just |
| 644s | the the vibe of the game the different |
| 645s | Hub areas um so yeah I'm I'm really |
| 649s | excited to experience this all again |
| 650s | it's like uh 2018 wasn't that long ago |
| 653s | but at the same time it kind of really |
| 655s | was right A lot's happened in the world |
| 656s | since then exactly exactly and if any |
| 659s | was was wondering I have twitch chat on |
| 660s | the left side and YouTube chat on the |
| 662s | right so I'm not being Shifty I'm just |
| 664s | making sure I can read all of your |
| 666s | comments um but talking of hunt Jo |
| 669s | should we get stuck in I've heard that |
| 670s | you've just kind of had a run in with |
| 671s | some kadon and uh it's time to kind of |
| 674s | take on your first large monster on your |
| 676s | new character oh yeah let's do it uh we |
| 679s | are tackling the great jagas oh class |
| 683s | large monster |
| 686s | yeah all right let me go that Quest |
| 690s | and while we do this chat tell us what |
| 692s | did you think of the monst Hunter Wild's |
| 694s | announcement were you watching live did |
| 696s | you catch the trailer afterwards tell us |

| 701s | yeah you know Jon you and I both I think |
| 704s | we got pretty uh emotional at the |
| 706s | announcement even though we were quite |
| 709s | busy yeah it's really awesome I won't |
| 711s | like as very emotional watching it and |
| 713s | when the the name reveal came up my eyes |
| 716s | were watering I won't lie I was so |
| 719s | excited and happy for everyone the |
| 721s | community for the team I mean you were |
| 724s | in teams chat as well um yeah how did |
| 727s | you feel yeah oh yeah same same way same |
| 730s | way I you know we were running like uh |
| 732s | like headless chickens trying to get |
| 734s | everything ready but at the same time it |
| 735s | was just you know really really |
| 736s | emotional moment so you know something |
| 738s | we've been working towards for a pretty |
| 739s | long time so very very awesome moment |
| 742s | exactly for those wonderers so we are |
| 743s | going to be playing through uh base |
| 745s | World here we do have ice born installed |
| 748s | so obviously will see the clutch claw uh |
| 751s | but I'll try and limit my use of it |
| 753s | because obviously this is the World |
| 754s | experience and obviously some of the |
| 755s | extra moves as well um so yeah yeah yeah |
| 760s | jonno you you went with a a hunter |
| 762s | that's pretty similar to the one that |
| 764s | you run normally yeah I I'm anything but |
| 767s | original here like so I have the same |
| 769s | Hunter look basically a bit of stubble |
| 771s | uh blue hair because I like to you know |
| 773s | kind of self-insert a bit you know um |
| 776s | and then I've got my Pico Amber so I |
| 777s | have a real life uh cat called Amber and |
| 781s | uh she's also a Tor so that's that's |
| 783s | mine I see you have H quite a theme |
| 785s | going on with your Hunter and Pico yeah |
| 787s | so I actually made the I went ahead and |
| 789s | made the palico first and thought that |
| 791s | would you know maybe make some ideas for |
| 793s | what I should go with for my theme and |
| 795s | then I just realized I went for like a a |
| 797s | cheese theme here so here we are there |
| 801s | we go we've had it we've eaten we're |
| 803s | ready we've seen in chat there Hammer |
| 805s | best weapon I mean Hammer's a good |
| 807s | choice what what made you choose hammer |
| 808s | for this PL |
| 810s | 3j um well I'm a great sword main um so |
| 814s | I like to to hit hard so I I want to |
| 817s | choose the next best thing so we went |
| 819s | for the hammer a good choice and me so |
| 823s | the sword and shield is my main squeeze |
| 825s | I've been using it um go since since |
| 828s | three years since I first got into |
| 830s | Monster Hunter and uh you know what it's |
| 832s | probably the only weapon I'm really |
| 833s | really good with um I also like to |
| 835s | dabble in the hunting horn and I like to |
| 838s | flirt with the hammer and charge blade |
| 840s | but yeah I just I just love sword and |
| 842s | shield you think you think he'll mess |
| 844s | around with any other weapons uh during |
| 846s | these streams or you're going to stick |
| 848s | to your to your main that's a good |
| 850s | question what would people want me to |
| 852s | kind of learn in world I mean I used to |
| 854s | use gun Lance a bit W because I really |
| 856s | like the the rathan gun Lance um but |
| 860s | yeah I'm I'm interested to see what |
| 862s | people would want want me to use lots of |
| 864s | people loving the uh chargeblade gang |
| 866s | great sword a lot of great sword loving |
| 868s | both chats |
| 869s | try charge blade I could try charge |
| 871s | blade because you're a charge blade main |
| 872s | aren't you Joe like oh yeah yeah I love |
| 875s | a charge blade but I you know I I |
| 877s | wouldn't say I'm like the greatest with |
| 881s | it but you know it is flashy and you |
| 884s | know occasionally you hit one of those |
| 886s | uh those big hits and you feel I feel |
| 888s | like you're the greatest in the world so |
| 890s | oh yes oh yes and what we're doing here |
| 892s | so obviously this is the first large |
| 894s | Monster Hunt in wal and obviously we're |
| 896s | tracking great jaas cuz we're not too |
| 898s | familiar with the The Monster at the |
| 899s | minute oh well there you go hold on |
| 901s | great Jack is coming to us but what |

| 905s | oh a tasty snack just watching here it's |
| 911s | a the APO aren't too happy about |

| 929s | dang so we're gonna hunt this great Jack |
| 932s | just after you atat dinner that's messed |
| 933s | up yeah yeah I would be pretty grumpy if |
| 936s | if I got jumped after having a dinner |
| 939s | um that's when you're at your worst |
| 941s | exactly exactly not feeling too graceful |
| 944s | so there we go we must Avenge the let's |
| 948s | do it all right should we go after it |
| 951s | yep let's go people here saying charge |
| 953s | blade when you guard against Diablos for |
| 954s | the first time it's so satisfying |
| 956s | Diablos is quite a monster to guard |
| 958s | against as well oh yeah yeah I need to |
| 961s | look out for or and Bone piles as well |
| 963s | um so I can do some upgrades after this |
| 965s | hunt yeah we need we need everything |
| 968s | right now um these Hunters have nothing |
| 970s | so I'm picking up every honey I see oh |
| 973s | yes all the ore yeah we are effectively |
| 976s | broke yeah we're not we're not |
| 978s | pretending to be new Hunters using our |
| 980s | like super maxed out hunters for like |
| 982s | hundreds of hours no we're genuinely |
| 985s | fresh yeah we are are genuinely fresh I |
| 988s | don't even have a radi menu set up I |
| 990s | have no inventory shortcuts |
| 993s | nothing Hydro says um light B gun |
| 997s | representation went you know what in um |
| 999s | for you light bow gun was my main |
| 1001s | alongside sword and shield I was like |
| 1003s | using both of them um I actually used |
| 1005s | the light B gun in the quest against |
| 1008s | shagaru magala uh I think the heavens |
| 1011s | wheel turns can't try to remember the |
| 1013s | name uh but yeah I did use it to |
| 1015s | actually wrap up the story |

| 1019s | if every weapon is your main or any of |
| 1022s | them your main this is true this is true |
| 1026s | we just like them |
| 1027s | all but yeah the plan is we want to play |
| 1030s | through the entire game um obviously not |
| 1032s | all tonight we're going to be streaming |
| 1034s | for about two hours but each week we're |
| 1035s | going to progress through and if you've |
| 1037s | got Hunters that are on Pace of us we'll |
| 1039s | open up the Gathering Hub we'll fill up |
| 1041s | the Gathering Hub and you can quest with |
| 1042s | us or you can Quest amongst yourselves |
| 1044s | but it's a shared Journey for like new |
| 1045s | players and returning players alike so |
| 1047s | hopefully we can impart some College |
| 1049s | hopefully you know you can join in and |
| 1051s | have some fun and if you are a genuinely |
| 1053s | new player you know hopefully we can |
| 1055s | help you get some uh some nice cares in |
| 1058s | yeah wait J what are you talking about I |
| 1060s | thought we were streaming the entire |
| 1061s | game tonight I mean you know what I |
| 1064s | could go make a cup of tea and then we |
| 1065s | can just bash it out you know okay I |
| 1068s | guess I guess I'll set for just a couple |

| 1105s | the first time today lovely lovely nice |

| 1279s | that would be like a 30 second hunt or |
| 1280s | something exactly now you know we might |
| 1283s | make that look a bit easier so if it is |
| 1284s | your first time fighting the great jagas |
| 1286s | and you are getting rolled on a bit are |
| 1288s | getting bitten don't worry we've got |
| 1291s | many many many hours under our belt and |
| 1293s | it's not our first rodeo with great |
| 1295s | jagas you know you might C you might c a |
| 1297s | couple of times doesn't matter it's all |
| 1300s | a learning experience but like my |
| 1302s | personal tip for fighting great jagas is |
| 1304s | just trying and stay to like the side of |
| 1306s | its head um because a lot of its attacks |
| 1309s | are choreographed if they're going to go |
| 1310s | sideways or it will bite to the front |
| 1312s | what about you Jo what's your top great |
| 1313s | jagas tip yeah pretty much the same |
| 1316s | thing I mean just kind of watch out for |
| 1318s | those Ling attacks and go for the head I |
| 1320s | mean it doesn't have crazy Mobility so |
| 1323s | uh it's it's pretty predictable monster |
| 1326s | so you just got to keep it in front of |
| 1327s | you make sure that you keep track of all |
| 1329s | the movements and and go for the head |
| 1331s | good good advice yeah if you if you are |
| 1333s | if you bring an old Hunter with like new |
| 1336s | gear or like early Game Gear that's also |
| 1338s | fine just try and match what we're using |
| 1340s | so you know take those deos off get on |
| 1343s | those those lower weapons you know and |
| 1345s | like you can join in um so yeah |
| 1348s | basically we just don't want to go in |
| 1349s | and dunk the monster when we're going |
| 1350s | for like that that early game experience |
| 1353s | oh yeah I got a cut scene on my side |
| 1355s | nice nice so I've done this Quest before |
| 1357s | so Joe will have a cut scene uh which |
| 1360s | will be a nice little watch yep we were |
| 1363s | not lying this is a completely brand new |

| 1416s | so for me so monsant World on Steam is |

| 1421s | 879 is it's like 67% off it's it's crazy |
| 1425s | cheap the cheapest it's ever been on |
| 1427s | Steam and it is currently on sale on |
| 1429s | Xbox and Playstation as well um so yeah |
| 1432s | jump in like if you like RPGs if you |
| 1435s | like fighting big monsters and also the |
| 1437s | social side of it because we got the |
| 1439s | Gathering Hub um you know you can team |
| 1441s | up with your buddies it's it's it's real |
| 1443s | good fun obviously I'm a bit biased but |
| 1446s | right yeah the US it's 9.99 which uh you |
| 1451s | know that's like the cost of like a |
| 1454s | sandwich for I don't even know like a |
| 1456s | what maybe 500,000 plus hours of gaml so |
| 1460s | you know you could play only this game |
| 1463s | for quite a bit and be set for a very |
| 1465s | long time oh yes you will be good |
| 1470s | you played three Ares out of this game |
| 1475s | nice okay we're back in the hub now |
| 1478s | wicked wicked so if we jump over to my |
| 1481s | screen I'm going to the Smithy because |
| 1483s | I've now hunted great jagas I think two |
| 1485s | times on this Hunter uh because I |
| 1489s | progressed a little bit early on um oh |
| 1493s | got a little quest for the clutch claw |
| 1494s | so if you do have ice born um even when |
| 1497s | you're playing through baseball you do |
| 1498s | get access to some of the features of |
| 1500s | Ice um such as moves and the clutch claw |
| 1503s | so you say I will try I mean I can't |
| 1505s | resist doing the rush combo but I will |
| 1507s | try and limit my clutch claw use like |
| 1510s | outside of ice spawn um so I need some |
| 1513s | new armor so obviously we've got the |
| 1515s | weapons we look at the armor first |
| 1517s | so I can make the Jag set here for a |
| 1521s | little bit more defense and some skills |
| 1523s | however I am a bit of a fan of the bone |
| 1524s | armor because and this is good reason I |
| 1527s | highly recommend the bone armor armor in |
| 1528s | the early game because you get health |
| 1530s | boost you get attack boost you get |
| 1531s | Slugger you get horn mro so if you're a |
| 1534s | hunting horn dude master that will up |
| 1536s | your hunting horn game and then |
| 1538s | entomologist as well so I'm going to I'm |
| 1541s | going to use some of these bones that |
| 1542s | we've been Gathering and uh caring to to |
| 1545s | get this gear um so I'm going to go for |
| 1547s | the helmet get a little cut scene there |
| 1551s | maybe I should do the same yeah do it |
| 1553s | what we got here bone armor you know |
| 1555s | it's all about the fashion though so |
| 1556s | let's see let's see how it looks that's |
| 1558s | true fashion game is end game right |
| 1563s | yeah uh let's check out the jagas armor |
| 1566s | it looks really cool I love the look at |
| 1568s | the jagas armor yeah I've always been a |
| 1570s | fan of it yeah just got a really cool |
| 1573s | like it's not quite like a cape but kind |
| 1576s | of is yeah it's a bit like a throw is |
| 1578s | that the right term for it I don't I'm |
| 1581s | clearly not the most fashionable person |
| 1583s | yeah yeah maybe like a little Poncho or |
| 1586s | something yeah |
| 1592s | uh cool says it's so rare to have the |
| 1594s | official game do put up a weekly |
| 1595s | Community live stream for the game well |
| 1597s | you know the mod center team and Capcom |
| 1600s | we love the community and as Community |
| 1602s | managers it's great to directly engage |
| 1605s | with you and to have an excuse to do |
| 1606s | this um how about you Joe how do you |
| 1608s | feel about it oh yeah same way same way |
| 1610s | and joh know you've been kind of leading |
| 1611s | the charge on uh many many streams for |
| 1614s | uh quite a long time so uh yeah yeah |
| 1618s | glad to be able to join you for this uh |
| 1620s | and for many more going forward exactly |
| 1622s | so for rise and sunbreak you know Joe |
| 1624s | would visit when he could because of the |
| 1626s | time zones it could be tricky um because |
| 1628s | we did have a weekly rise and sunbreak |
| 1630s | stream but now for for a little bit |
| 1631s | we're going to be doing world and we've |
| 1632s | set this up specifically so that Joe can |
| 1635s | join us as much as possible um which is |
| 1638s | super super exciting I'm glad to have |
| 1640s | you here man yeah thanks thanks for |

| 1643s | charge on this we're just we're super |
| 1645s | excited we've been talking about this |
| 1646s | for for quite a while so yeah it's fun |

| 1654s | US luckily we're a little bit away from |
| 1655s | those for now we've got a few hunts to |

| 1660s | full bone armor set and I'm going to see |
| 1662s | if I can upgrade my sword and shield all |
| 1666s | um there we go love my sword and shield |

| 3171s | side of stuff you'll find it very |
| 3172s | entertaining and very rewarding as well |

| 6238s | the complexities of the game a little |
| 6240s | bit easier to understand for a lot of |
| 6241s | people and um you know then that just |
| 6243s | really uh culminated with world just uh |
| 6246s | you know blowing up everywhere and you |
| 6248s | know that that brings us here today so |
| 6250s | exactly and like as you said like it's |
| 6252s | the community it's yourselves that kind |
| 6254s | of have been so welcom in and it sounds |
| 6256s | cheesy and cliche but it's true the |
| 6258s | monsan community is welcom in and they |
| 6261s | oh there we go and they share knowledge |
| 6264s | and the content creators as well and you |
| 6267s | know even when you're playing online and |
| 6268s | you know when you're playing you know |
| 6269s | back into there on your handheld and and |
| 6272s | earlier online games you can't you |
| 6274s | couldn't use voice so it was all like |
| 6276s | stickers and shouts and stuff like that |
| 6278s | and it's really endearing because you |
| 6280s | know you're playing with total strangers |
| 6282s | and you're communicating you're |
| 6283s | cooperating and you're having fun and |
| 6285s | you're succeeding and yeah it's really |
| 6289s | special um I |
| 6292s | feel yeah for sure I think the the |
| 6294s | community is really what's what's |
| 6296s | carried the franchise uh throughout the |
| 6298s | years and and helped it become really |
| 6299s | big because people have been such big |
| 6301s | advocates for it you know when it was a |
| 6304s | a series that was mostly popular and |
| 6306s | well known in Japan and kind of bringing |
| 6308s | it over to the west and um you know |
| 6311s | helping people understand this this |
| 6313s | series and what it's all about and uh |
| 6315s | yeah it's it's really thanks to the |
| 6317s | community and their hard work and also |
| 6318s | the dev team of course for making a |
| 6319s | great game yeah yeah cheers gang for for |
| 6322s | making such an awesome series of games |
