nah we haven't really thought about female lines too much yet, but we're considering some options there. We'd like to have a good variety of em!

There’s a lot of suggestions, but a simple “flourish removes blood” seems like a simple and doable thing.

Another idea: Make every weapon throwable by holding R (throw/reload/alt button)

1 - we're aware, looking into it. Not a high priority thing atm but we'd probably make it separate from flourish.

2- No, probably not gonna happen. Different weapons have certain utility based on their modes and everything being able to be thrown would kind of make weapons feel more same-y. Also would turn Mordhau into dodgeball, tons of things flying around constantly.

Necessary evil. Spy loadouts were making things very frustrating for brand new players. We can look into some potential solutions going forwards though.

I don't think it makes sense - server populations in most regions are okay, if you use the server browser. Other regions need things like better translations and server locations for them to grow.

As for the helmet it's a dope idea, we might be able to slap a plume on but I'm not sure how much demand there is for this right now. We can talk about it :)

This ^^^^^ The current ones are kind of "noob traps" and have led to quite a few first-day players not sticking around because they get bodied constantly.

That's unlikely, because you'd really be making 1 weapon into 4 at that point, and it would make the modes very "meh". Each mode is essentially a different weapon and we want to make sure they're all different enough to justify using. For different alt modes, we're thinking more of things like potentially bracing spears or something more dramatic for weapons (once again just a maybe, we might decide never to do this) but we're much more focused on other ideas.

Btw, the combat changes listed aren't "combat 2.0" - that's longer term stuff, this is more short term items that are fixing the major issues with the current system. Can't really add cool new things when the base gameplay has some holes in it. 👍

things like potentially adding in a shove/shield bash, other alt modes (hard maybe) etc. that really shake the combat up. that stuff isn't what's being talked about here but it will be discussed in the future, and a lot of that stuff is half pipe dream/half super duper experimental stuff

as for my feedback:

combine frontline and invasion into one server type with two gamemodes (dwarf suggested this, I think it’d be really cool)

implement all of my vet suggestions 😎

this is probably something you already do, but prioritize cosmetics in untouched areas (ex: skins or armor categories that don’t already have many cosmetics) falx and javs are kind of unloved ☹️

and finally, have a great day Jax, that would be great

Sorry for the late post!

As usual, let us know your thoughts and feedback for Mordhau, what you'd like to see and any questions you might have!

As for this week's meeting notes, I had some IRL obligations to get to right after the meeting - I'll be posting them tomorrow as a stickied comment down below. Crush and I are gonna talk a little about combat so we can get you a good idea of changes, as some things have been changing recently (and believe me, we know your opinions on that front).

Okay, BIG update notes (sorry for the delay):

  • We are getting close to the testing phase for the next update. We'll probably end up doing an initial test this week and then some iterative bug fixes and changes, test again, so on and so forth.
  • We're looking into making Horde mode for Crossroads. Not sure yet we'll do exactly, but we've seen Camp as one of the more popular maps for Horde ...

Have you considered making scabbards/frogs or something to sheath weapons that you aren't using? Either they can be purchased with gold by themselves or there can be some fancier ones that come with skins for different weapons, like the Damascus Bastard Sword skin having its own unique scabbard, for example.

Female characters are in development, yep! And as for scabbards, etc. they're not feasible due to performance issues. We already have some much on the characters at the moment - adding more stuff (especially with physics) would probably hurt performance too much. :(

This is a terrible use of your time and resources and its really quite shameful on your end.

Tournament winners are expected to behave in a respectful manner to other players. Stream sniping and actively ruining the experience of a new player who happens to be streaming to thousands of people is not respectful, nor does it put the game in a good light.
