s | hey everyone it's chef of the dead and |
---|---|
s | welcome to the noaca 101 for Liam Leu |
s | this character is packing some super |
s | unique abilities and he is sure to make |
s | a splash in The Meta let's get right |
s | into it by taking a look at his two |
s | skills starting with magnet repel magnet |
s | repel can be used under attack and when |
s | Liam activates it he knocks back nearby |
s | enemies and hops backward however this |
s | is not just any old combo breaker and |
s | that's because of this right here this |
s | is the first ability in the game that |
s | allows activation immediately after |
s | getting countered and it means that Liam |
s | is able to avoid all subsequent damage |
s | typical combo breakers can only be used |
s | after taking the first hit of a counter |
s | punish so this new skill is especially |
s | good against single hit punishes like |
s | nunchucks great swword and pul sword the |
s | last aspect of the skill to keep in mind |
s | is this where Simply Having the skill |
s | equipped will give you the passive |
s | benefit of your weapon dropping being |
s | delayed after being countered what this |
s | implies is that if if you choose to |
s | activate your skill after being |
s | countered not only do you avoid the |
s | following damage but you also get to |
s | keep your weapon this is a very strong |
s | ability and I can certainly recommend |
s | picking it if you're not sure which of |
s | his skills to use but with that in mind |
s | let's move on to his next skill that has |
s | a totally different use case magnet |
s | attract magnet attract unleashes |
s | magnetic power in the aimed Direction |
s | pulling hit enemies a certain distance |
s | toward Liam this can act as a combo |
s | starter or a combo extender so I can |
s | definitely see players that love combos |
s | leaning towards this skill it has a very |
s | fast startup that grants you instant |
s | blue Focus so you won't be able to be |
s | staggered by light attacks and it has a |
s | very forgiving hit box that allows you |
s | to land it even if you're a decent |
s | margin off Target the skill will hit the |
s | target at a distance of up to 12 M but |
s | since there's a limited distance that |
s | the target actually gets pulled you'll |
s | only be able to make contact with that |
s | Target to start a combo if you activate |
s | it within 10 m once you land it though |
s | you can combo as if it was a fresh |
s | stagger so no need to go directly into |
s | an uppercut or anything like that the |
s | fast activation of this skill means it |
s | works really well as a combo extender |
s | even being able to grab the opponent out |
s | of dual blades vertical Focus there are |
s | tons of variations to extend combos with |
s | this skill basically if you have a full |
s | second before the enemy can dodge you |
s | probably have time to activate magnet |
s | attract and flow back into another combo |
s | the skill also has some defensive |
s | capability being that it does have that |
s | instant blue focus on Startup by that I |
s | mean it can function as a soft combo |
s | breaker so if someone goes for a combo |
s | that is soft true such as this combo |
s | right here with dual blades you can |
s | activate your skill to interrupt and |
s | reverse the aggression this skill cannot |
s | be activated while under attack like the |
s | first skill though so you will have to |
s | play more carefully but there is |
s | tremendous value in having a combo |
s | starter like this moving on to his first |
s | ultimate we have Metal Fusion and let me |
s | tell you this is one of the most |
s | versatile SS in the game activating it |
s | will knock back nearby enemies consuming |
s | 40% rage and entering Liam's gold Golden |
s | State this lasts for 30 seconds and |
s | modifies your skill to fire an oric |
s | sword in the aim Direction at the cost |
s | of Rage wherever the oric sword lands it |
s | creates a sword Zone and will apply The |
s | Binding effect to anyone it hits while |
s | an enemy is bound you can take the |
s | opportunity to initiate a combo or |
s | teleport to the sword zone or actually |
s | both teleporting to the sword Zone |
s | creates a knockback effect that upon hit |
s | provides a substantial amount of healing |
s | so if you're pretty low Health that can |
s | be a good idea to go for keep in mind |
s | that this healing effect will increase |
s | with weapon Rarity and amount of enemies |
s | hit as far as the combo potential if |
s | you're close enough after firing the |
s | oric sword you can simply initiate a |
s | combo as the enemy is bound but if |
s | you're out of position you can actually |
s | activate the teleport and cut off the |
s | knockback effect with an attack combined |
s | with the fact that you have two of these |
s | swords it makes for some insane combo |
s | potential even though the enemy is |
s | immune to being bound for a period of |
s | time some combos will allow you to stall |
s | long enough in between usages that |
s | you're able to make use of both this |
s | results in some pretty ridiculous combos |
s | that are a ton of fun to go for if you |
s | combine this ultimate with magnet |
s | attract Leon might just have access to |
s | some of the longest combos in the game |
s | but I mentioned earlier that it was also |
s | one of the most versatile ults in the |
s | game and that's because of one special |
s | fact which is that the oric swords can |
s | be fired while under attack so if you |
s | have your ult active you actually have |
s | two combo breakers available to you |
s | which gives the ult some super strong |
s | defense depending on when you use a |
s | sword to break a combo you'll even have |
s | time to start a combo of your own basic |
s | basically just try not to use it when |
s | you're getting uppercutted since you'll |
s | have to fall to the ground before you |
s | can initiate a combo which doesn't give |
s | you quite enough time here's a |
s | relatively simple combo with the long |
s | sword to get you inspired and to show |
s | off a bit of what this ultimate can |
s | do moving on to his second ultimate |
s | Metal Fusion core much like the first |
s | ult activating it will knock back nearby |
s | enemies and transmute Liam into his |
s | Golden State for 30 seconds giving him |
s | access to a unique skill however in this |
s | case all rage is consumed the derived |
s | skill from the all allows you to fire an |
s | oric core which has a completely |
s | different effect than the oric sword |
s | when an enemy is hit by an oric core |
s | they're enveloped transforming them into |
s | a golden ball that Liam takes into |
s | control using your skill again while an |
s | enemy is enveloped will fling the ball |
s | in the aimed Direction dealing damage to |
s | them and the surrounding area this has |
s | some crazy implications when it comes to |
s | making use of environmental hazards like |
s | these wooden signs in celestra that you |
s | can fling enemies directly into for an |
s | immediate stun and massive follow-up |
s | damage the thorny rollers in hollo can |
s | be just as deadly that's a pretty |
s | situational use though and in reality |
s | you're not going to be close enough to |
s | one of those things most of the time so |
s | the main thing you'll probably want to |
s | take advantage of is the fact that the |
s | opponent will automatically break out of |
s | the enveloped state in about 3 seconds |
s | which gives you a moment to land a |
s | pre-charged focus attack when this is |
s | paired with something like dragon roar |
s | it is beyond potent this Al has equally |
s | good defensive potential in the way that |
s | you can use the derived skill while |
s | under attack just like the other one and |
s | much like how you can teleport away from |
s | the opponent with the first ult you can |
s | launch the opponent far away for a |
s | similar effect with this one as for the |
s | glyph setup I like to prioritize these |
s | two trees since they provide bonuses to |
s | rage gain and stamina which are |
s | incredibly important additionally with |
s | Liam's first skill having a very long |
s | cooldown of 28 seconds hitting this |
s | skill cool down reduction node is pretty |
s | important although if you're running the |
s | second skill or simply don't mind that |
s | long cool down you could opt for this |
s | side of the green tree to get a solid |
s | boost to your grapple distance which can |
s | also be really helpful in order to |
s | unlock the full potential of Liam's kit |
s | you will have to complete cultivation |
s | quests that unlock his second skill and |
s | ultimate these quests are pretty easy to |
s | complete though and essentially just |
s | force you to try out his first abilities |
s | and get a feel for the character the |
s | first group of quests will unlock the |
s | second skill and the second group will |
s | unlock the second ultimate after that if |
s | you end up really liking the character |
s | you can complete cultivation all the way |
s | up to the chosen one status for an |
s | exclusive Avatar in general Le is |
s | looking like he'll be really strong in |
s | both solos and team modes with lots of |
s | counterplay potential on both sides shol |
s | for example still stands to be a tough |
s | fight since with only two oric blades to |
s | fire against sh's three blocks it can be |
s | difficult to break through similarly |
s | with Tea's three charges of furin he can |
s | potentially outpace Liam Transformers |
s | represent another counter to him since |
s | transformed opponents or anyone in |
s | ultimate focus for that matter are not |
s | affected by oric blades or core as for |
s | the rest of the roster though Leon more |
s | than holds his own and he can show off |
s | the power of His ultimate to the fullest |
s | extent and I'll see you in game |
