7s today we are taking a look at hottie the
9s brand new addition to the hero roster
11s and he is deadly this character is
13s already one of my favorites only shortly
15s after release since his kit is just that
17s much fun to use his first skill is
19s called mechanical arm and activating it
21s will fire a grab attack with a 25 M
23s range with gold Focus after the startup
26s since you don't gain that gold Focus
28s immediately I don't recommend trying to
30s use it to defensively as a soft combo
31s breaker since you'll likely be
33s interrupted but that does not mean it
35s doesn't have plenty of uses first of all
37s it functions as a combo starter and
39s unlike similar skills the initial grab
41s doesn't actually count as a stagger that
43s means you can perform your combos as you
45s normally would from neutral toothpick
47s combos like this one included mechanical
49s arm really is a fantastic combo tool
51s that proves very worth using for pretty
53s much every weapon the grab offers some
55s great counterplay to certain abilities
57s one being against ult's skill where with
59s the proper timing and aim you can grab
62s him before he's able to throw the Wisp
64s completely reversing the pressure it's
66s also a hard counter to Yo's third skill
68s that blocks all melee attacks you can
70s just grab her right out of it for a
72s combo his second skill mechanical arm
74s blast is the much safer and more
77s defensive option with it being able to
79s be used under attack and acting as a
81s great repositioning tool activating it
83s will knock enemies back and blast hottie
85s into the air immediately deploying a
87s glider that you can fly manually my
89s favorite thing about this skill is that
90s it can be canceled early which gives you
92s the opportunity to take the enemy off
94s guard with an attack if you cancel it
96s with a jump you can go right into an
97s aerial attack or if you hold Dodge you
100s can begin charging Focus to immediately
102s put the pressure back on the opponent
104s although if you're low HP and you'd
105s rather run away for a reset putting that
107s glider to use and trying to round a
109s corner or get some distance to Grapple
111s away is a great use of the skill too it
114s doesn't have as complex interactions as
116s the first skill does but it's a really
118s strong defensive ability that will not
119s disappoint
120s HDI has one of those ultimates that as
122s soon as you see it in the trailer you
124s know it's going to be a blast to use his
126s first ultimate is aerial ascent and upon
128s activation you get launched into the air
130s spreading a pair of mechanical wings
132s that Grant you flight for up to 25
134s seconds and access to a special move set
137s hottie's plume blade has a light attack
138s chain of two so no one two three combo
141s but you do have access to a three-stage
143s charge attack each stage provides
145s progressively more damage and Landing

151s while in flight hadti has the passive
153s benefit of being uninterruptible by

165s while in the air you just get a bit of a
167s movement speed penalty the biggest thing
169s you have to worry about with hot's
170s ultimate is blue Focus you have to be
172s really careful with how you approach an
174s enemy because if you're not in that
175s Third charge State Focus attacks will
177s interrupt you and with enough damage
179s you'll be taken out of flight mode
181s definitely keep in mind your spacing
182s when trying to land hits with plume
184s blade because you are by no means
186s Invincible you've probably noticed that
188s the normal skill gets overridden while
189s in ult and activating it allows you to
192s exit and enter flight mode with each
194s takeoff consuming 15% rage this is where
197s some really cool combo starting
198s potential comes into play if you land a
200s basic attack with the plume blade and
202s you're close enough to the ground you
203s can actually exit flight mode and
205s initiate a normal weapon combo some
207s weapons will only soft combo out of the
209s ultimate which which means the opponent
210s will be able to use an ability to break
212s out of it so just keep that in mind it's
214s also important to note that hottie's
216s Dodge gets turned into a fast air Dash
219s which really helps close the distance on
220s someone or run away quickly the speed at
223s which you can get away plus the ability
225s to heal while in the air definitely
227s makes this one of the strongest reset
228s tools in the game despite how easily you
230s can reset once the ult is active you do
233s have to keep in mind that it cannot be
235s activated while under attack so you have
237s to be careful not to hold on to it for
238s too long hdi's second ultimate aerial
241s Ascent Blaze shares all the same
243s passives with the added benefit of the
245s stage three charge attack applying a
247s burn burn eats away directly at HP which
250s has a lot of value but it does come at
252s the caveat of a slightly reduced up time
254s at 20 seconds I feel like those 5
256s seconds can make a big difference so for
259s that reason I do prefer the first
260s ultimate so far as for the talents that
262s I recommend for solos I definitely say
264s go for a full stamina build that looks
266s something like this I tend to run four
269s skill coold down and two grapple
270s distance but using any combination of
272s those for the bottom glyphs is fine if
274s you're playing Team modes though it can
276s be really useful to incorporate some
278s rage gain into your build but as a
280s general rule of thumb just make sure you
282s can still Dodge three times in
283s succession cultivation is how you'll
285s unlock the second skill and ultimate and

300s counters to look out for with one of the
302s strongest ones actually being an

307s though it looks like hotti would be able

311s can't which makes it a much harder
312s counter than ult's ultimate which can be
315s flown over and out of although tumultous
317s Zephyr wisps will be able to stagger
319s hottie out of flight mode unless he's
321s reached the gold Focus state which can
322s be pretty strong fia's cannon shots with
325s her Mech also pose a threat stunning
327s hotti for a short time and dealing a
329s sizable chunk of damage to his wings
331s potentially knocking him out of flight
333s Tessa is another one to look out for
335s since not only will the enchanted effect
337s take you out of flight mode but the
338s initial hit will as well Justina is also
341s a decent counter because even if you're
343s charging an attack while in the air
344s unless you've reached the gold Focus
346s State you will be frozen leaving out
348s those characters hottie has a lot of
351s really favorable matchups and
352s counterplay of his own and we'll be
354s getting a much deeper look at that in
