Hello friends,

As you probably know, our PTR was made available in US East and EU Central earlier today. What you maybe don’t know is that we have opened up two additional test worlds, including one in US West and one in SA East just a moment ago.

Help us test our huge-normous update, and make sure to post your feedback and test notes in the forums. Remember that you can make multiple characters, so try a different backstory every day!

We have banned no one that I know of (barring a mistake, there are humans involved, please let me know if you think this happened to you) for using Overwolf with minimaps that are currently available and use only position of the character.

There have been suspensions the last few days around macro use, but those don’t come from Overwolf. And bans for many other things, not related to Overwolf.

If we found a need to disable Overwolf, we have that option via EAC. We’d do that first.

Also it’s creepy that you folks can see me typing.

The team has just notified us that the PTR client is now fully available for download and participation.

If you find your way onto the PTR, please take a moment and leave us some feedback on the threads found in the PTR section of the forums.

Here is what actually happened, here are actual facts.

That’s because she was participating in the Battle For New World event as a paid promotion.

The moment captured on screen is when our Dev team activated her account backend to be able to skip queues to hop in an play moving forward without waiting. It flagged a ban message on screen but she wasn’t actually banned and continued playing right after.

As an update, we are still preparing the PTR servers; however, the PTR application is available to download via Steam! You may need to log out and log back in for it to appear.

We will be sure to let you know when the PTR servers are available!

In regards to the weekly update, we are still working on the final details and will update you as soon as we have more information.

I appreciate the feedback on our ban appeal process, I am providing this feedback to the heads of the support and moderation teams, but we cannot do anything on the forums to help investigate or solve moderation issues unfortunately.
Please continue to use the appeal process and I’ll keep providing the feedback that folks want to see improvements.

Hey folks, unfortunately the forums is not a place where detailed account violation information can be posted. If you were creating 10+ accounts, in a short period of time, skipping the tutorial, and showing behavior a lot like how gold spammers operate you were likely tagged by that software. My intention isn’t to shame anyone but to explain that you likely met the same behavioral criteria as many gold spammers. You will need to work with support to show that you are a legit player.
Unfortunately, that can’t be solved on the forums. I will again send the details from this thread to the Moderation team to investigate.

Thank you for participating in the Public Test Realm (PTR).

We wanted to take a moment to let you know that all newly created higher-level characters will be automatically assigned the same faction — the Covenant. If you’d like to change your faction to either the Syndicate or the Marauders, you can easily and quickly do so by following these steps:

1. Open the Character Screen (K key)
2. Click on the “Bio” tab within, located on the far-left side
3. At the bottom-left of the screen, select the “Change Faction” button
4. Make your selection from the available choices presented

Please note that this mechanic is beheld to the same restrictions as our live game; you can only change factions once within 60 days (long after this test cycle), and only to a non-dominant faction. If you’ve made a mistake in this process for the PTR, it is recommended that you delete your test character and try again.

From what I understand, it’s due to family sharing. It’s seeing your account as “new” even though it isn’t. It should disappear soon.

Support handles all character/company specific issues. I don’t have any ability to look into this for you.
