I play siege in medium settings and until now i played with vsync on. So i had steady 60 fps(60Hz screen). It has never dropped before. Now i turned of vsync and got about 100-120 fps. But mid game it drops to exactly 30 fps, stays there for 5-10 seconds and gets back up at 100-120.

Because of this i turned on vsync again but now i could see the lag. It was huge. So i cant play with vsync on anymore. Does someone know any fix.

Pc specs.
I play in laptop. (rog)
i7
Gtx 1050 4gb
16 gb ram

Thx

You might want to try going to the beta branch. There are some fixes there for FPS bugs. I also have a ton of FPS fixes coming in for the next version. Sorry about this issue!

Would you be able to advise whether you noticed anything in particular that happens during the game, that may have an effect on the significant FPS drop you've mentioned?

Also, in the meantime, if you haven't already, try completing steps outlined in the following article, and see whether you notice any improvement.

Hey R1chu.MDX,

Thank you for getting back to us with that. Usually FPS is mostly hardware related but sometimes it can also be connectivity related too.

If you have tried all the troubleshooting steps in Ubi-Karls article to improve performance, please try the steps in this article too to improve connection -

As you have an Nvidia graphics card please try navigating to the Nvidia control panel and selecting these settings too -
Nvidia control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Global Settings -> Vsync -> Force On

Please get back to us when you have had time to test this out.

Hey R1chu.MDX,

I'm glad to hear this and happy to hear the solution to your FPS issue in your game. Brilliant.

Just to confirm, did you do it via this method or do you mean you edited the gamesettings.ini file? -

Inside R6 menu, go to Options > Display > Refresh Rate and set Vsync to 60Hz and lock the FPS

Have a good day friend and feel free to come back to us in the forums if you need help with anything else
