In the same vein as "gout tubers are easier at lower Woodcutting levels" and "golden nuggets are slightly more common at very specific levels", here's a new discovery:

Most people know that Pyramid Plunder was changed somewhat recently so that the chance of getting the sceptre from the gold chest or sarcophagus scaled from 1/3500 in room 1, up to 1/650 in rooms 5-8. However, not many people are aware that those rates only apply if your search of the chest/sarcophagus did NOT spawn a mummy or scarab swarm.

The chance of avoiding spawning a scarab swarm from the gold chest goes up with higher Thieving levels, and gets about 0.4% lower for each room you go up. Pretty negligible.

However, the chance of avoiding a mummy from the sarcophagus does not appear to change with Thieving level, and goes WAY down with each additional room level, starting at about 75% on room 1, down to under 10% in room 8

. This means that the chance of getting a sceptre from looting the sarcophagus in room 8 isn't 1/650, but rather closer to 1/7000. This makes room 8's sarcophagus significantly worse than every other sarcophagus
, and makes room 7 only slighter better than room 1. The best sarcophagi to loot are 4 and 5, by a pretty wide margin.

Well that is pretty silly! Sounds like a sensible change should be made here to address that.
