Hello

I read a bit about the actions the team is taking to counter cheating and while they sound all right I think there is still a lot of damage and annoyance a cheater can bring before really being banned. I often get +70 MMR cheater fixes in the end of the season which means it took you guys like 2/3 months to act on my report.

While I understand that before banning somebody you want to make sure they are actually cheating I would like to propose a solution already adapted in other games (e.g. COD MW) bringing the annoyance down while you can still verify somebody is cheating before banning them.

This would mainly be about building lobbies made of these people that you start to strongly suspect are cheating. Yes they can still play while you make sure they need to be banned but, no they are hopefully not going to annoy any non-cheating player for a long time as they will be playing against each other all the time.

By the way as we are on the topic I believe you guys could make a slightly better job at finding out cheaters before they annoy so many people... with maybe the tools of data science, yes I know we data scientists are expensive but I mean watching at the stats of some people I wonder how they don't get banned earlier... take this guy for example:[Naming and Shaming is not allowed]

2.62 KD diamond player level 60 with 78% HS rate over 60 game and blitz main.. i mean what the hell is that? You've got plenty of data guys it's even labelled as you know who the cheaters are (people you banned) get some machine learning engine running on stats to get a feel on who might be doing wrong (of course not to ban people but to detect way before they get as far as 60 games in one season cheating)

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion! I have seen similar ideas proposed before from the community. Please be sure you are submitting Player Reports through the support website so the team can investigate the account properly. Naming and Shaming is not allowed on the forums.

What do you mean report via a website? Isn't reporting done directly ingame? At least that's how I did it so far... Is it more effective via website?

Both work! If you want to share videos, you can submit it through the support website. The in-game button works just as well!
