Hello Ubisoft support,
In the past few months my game kept crashing for reasons that I couldn't understand, first the loading times are longer, then I have a black screen for a long time and finally I am completely thrown out of the game. I've already tried it with a reinstall and a new SSD, without success. The problem is often solved by restarting the game and, if necessary, restarting the computer.
However, in all of these cases, I can never reconnect to the ranked match. I always get a "Connection Failuire" with the error code: "4-0xFFF0BE25"
After all the steps offered in the FAQ, it still happens.
I also tried restarting my Ubisoft Connect, with no success.
Restarting the game, with no success.
A PC restart, without success.
Logging into another Ubisoft account and back to the one on which I was playing the ranked game, without success.
Searching for and joining a casual match, which I then left to reconnect, with no success.
I've tried everything I can think of, but haven't had a chance to rejoin the match.
So I wanted to ask how this problem can be solved, or whether it might be due to the servers, which could possibly be solved with a hot fix.
As I saw in the old Support Forum, I´m not the only one who has such problems, because I've already read about many similar cases in the forum.
It's very frustrating when you get a time lock as well as the frustration of your own team and also negative MMR, regardless of whether you win or lose the game.
I look forward to a quick answer and hope that you find a quick solution to this annoying problem

We have had an influx of reports of connection issues relating to this code which are being looked into by the team.

In terms of troubleshooting, is this the guide you've already followed?

And could you please confirm;

  • Do you receive any other codes besides 4-0xFFF0BE25?
  • What is the last exact date / time you were blocked by this code?
  • What region do you live in?
  • Who is your current ISP?
  • Are you playing via Wi-Fi or Ethernet?
  • Do you always get a random black screen or is there ever anything else you're usually doing in-game when this happens?
  • Does this error appear 100% of the time or sometimes?

I've passed them onto the team.

In the meantime, do you find you only get blackscreens during these instances or at any other random points when playing?

And may we please know your PC's specs (GPU, CPU, RAM)?

Taking a look, it doesn't appear as though we've had any other black screen reports alongside this just yet, so just in case, could you please give our PC troubleshooting steps a try?

They're designed to address performance or crashing issues so in most cases should help with random black screens.

Please let us know if there's any changes after giving them a go!

No worries @rcp_axtream, we are looking into this 4-0 error code at the moment, as it seems to come and go, when affecting different players. We are trying to investigate what exactly may be causing it and when it tends to happen, so if you experience it again, please do let us know, so we can follow up with you.

Sorry to hear this issue has affected you also @soarrem did you try any of the troubleshooting or game settings edits posted in this thread by agents, to see if it can prevent the 4-0 error code for you?

If you have to no avail, please let us know the following so we can pass this on to the Siege team for their report >>

  • Platform?
  • Time and date of the incident?
  • Internet Service Provider?
  • Data centre connected to?
  • Do you use a VPN whilst playing?
