[2021] What happened to NA West servers in Season 3? Possible region bug?

Since Season 3 dropped, I've noticed servers are way more laggy than usual. I'm seeing myself and other players teleport, whereas before Season 3 I've never experienced that. I've also noticed an increase in posts on this subreddit about lag issues.

Nothing has changed with my home network or hardware, and I'm not experiencing these issues with other multiplayer games, so I began to do a little investigating.

I configured the Mangle on my router's firewall to mark packets/connections to Rogue Company servers. This lets me see what server IP I'm connecting to, and its location. From there I began to collect some data.

For context, I live in California, and before Season 3 I would almost always get matched into servers located in Santa Clara, CA. If it was super late at night, I might get matched into Kansas, but that was the furthest it got.

Since Season 3 hit, I now primarily get matched into servers located in Singapore. I know HiRez recently added servers in Asia, but given that's clear across the Pacific, I should not be getting matched into those servers.

I've also noticed that players I would regularly match with in Santa Clara, CA (before Season 3), are now also getting matched into Singapore. So I'm not alone.

Even when I'm in a lobby with a friend in WA state, just two of us on the west coast, and we do shooting range, we still end up in a laggy Singapore server.

I also tried setting my region to NA East, but it made no difference.

Note: Prior to Season 3 I would regularly play at these same hours, so it's not just time of day at play here, unless Rogue's player base has shrunk significantly in the past couple months.

So, what's going on here? Do NA West servers still exist? Is everyone mistakenly being prioritized into Singapore servers? Given the rate of how fast Match ID's increase over time, it doesn't seem as though the player base has declined enough to cause this issue, so this is looking more like some sort of region bug.

@HiRez - if I'm bringing light to an unknown bug and you guys need more info, I'd be happy to try and collect whatever you need. Clearly something odd is going on.

We confirmed that those IP addresses are properly our West coast data center. It looks like the program you are using has similarly outdated IP locations as IP2Location, but if you look on other IP location services, you'll see that IP range has been moved to the US: https://www.iplocation.net/search?cx=partner-pub-1026064395378929%3A2796854705&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=UTF-8&q=107.6.125.2

That said, if you're frequently having latency issues and you're playing on PC, then we'd love to work with you to debug the issue by installing a program that will trace your packets on their way to our servers to determine where the problem is. It's not up to any of us to update the cache of geolocations for these 3rd party websites, but we have confirmed with our vendor that those IPs are located where we expected them to be, which is in San Jose.
