Hey Rogues! We wanted to provide everyone with an update for an issue some of you have brought to our attention.
Recently, a change was made behind the scenes to adjust the MMR Values that represent each Ranked Level. This change directly impacts how much Ranked XP is gained and lost. As some of you have reported, it is possible you could experience significantly reduced advancement when losing matches. Unfortunately, this change was not properly communicated when it was implemented and we have reviewed our process to ensure we avoid a similar mistake in the future.
We made this change based on data we received from the existing system indicating it was easier than intended to reach Ranked Level 20-30 in Ranked Beta. With the new Division/Tier System going live in Season 1, this shouldn’t be a problem as your Division will better represent your actual player skill.
We truly appreciate the time and effort many made into testing Ranked Beta and reports of your experience have been crucial to helping us improve its overall Design. Due to this unforeseen change however, we feel it's appropriate that anyone who has reached Rank 20 receive the Rank 30 reward avatar with the release of our next update.
