If this game ever ended I would be completely and utterly devastated.

I love this game. No matter the mess ups or annoyances. I love it. I have poured so much of my literal life into this game. We all have. Literal hours of our life time on this planet has been spent playing this game. I love it. That’s all.

Edit: I don’t play an unhealthy amount. I love this game because when I’m bored or want a quiet evening, it’s one of the few games I enjoy. And if that wasn’t an option, I wouldn’t die, but it would take me awhile to find another hobby I enjoyed just as much.

Edit #2: Sunk cost fallacy doesn’t apply here because abandonment isn’t beneficial. I mean you guys are on the reddit telling me this- Y’all haven’t even abandoned it yet. Let me know when you truly abandon ship and then I will take another look.

Lots of lovely and insightful comments here - as many wise people have said here, to many 'Scapers, it's more than a game. It's a whole world, filled with colourful characters (and not just the kind you find at W84 Portables) and amazing stories. Even folks here who haven't played recently but are still on the subreddit know that they're still here out of a deep-rooted love for the game, the world and the community. It's lovely to see.

As for you, u/Critical_Welder2273 - you won't need to be devastated any time soon, because we're not going anywhere. Personally I've only just really started my RuneScape journey, in the grand scheme of things, so I've got a long way to go yet, and I'm enjoying every step of it. I want my 20 year cape one day too!
