Hey there,
Tomorrow Mod Flaym and I will be doing a Technical QA Q&A live stream. To help us we're going to be needing some questions, they can be professional or personal! I'm aiming for this to be a fun somewhat educational stream.
To start, we will tell you a little bit about ourselves.
Mod Dolan
I started in QA just shy of four years ago as a Junior QA tester for RuneScape. I now work for both RuneScape and Oldschool as a Technical QA Engineer testing all things platform and client. I'm currently working on NXT, RSMobile and OSMobile. I like ducks, cooking and being painfully sarcastic.

I have been with the Runescape Technology team for only 3 months now as a Tech QA Engineer but have a total of 2 years experience as a QA analyst in other work sectors focusing more on the technical side of applications. I also like long walks on the beach and strolls through the countryside. Ironman btw.

I'll start with the first question:
Q: What does a Technical QA Engineer do at Jagex?
- A: Many things, Technical QA Engineers are the crossover between programmer and QA. We are responsible for compatibility, bench marking, engine releases, automation and integrity. As we work across multiple games on many platforms and devices it is required to knowledgeable in all mediums of operating systems, software and hardware.
But that's enough from us... for now. Ask away!
Cheers,
Mod Dolan & Mod Flaym
