In wilderness related threads there's some kind of toxicity, often with encouragements of suicide. It goes beyond just those discussions, but it's very common in them.
In this thread for example, OP brings a bunch of stone spirits to disappoint the PKer with when they die - which isn't what I'm talking about, but rather - what the top comment was for quite a while:
You should add in rope and a flat pack chair for ultimate trolling
And even after this comment fell from grace, my comment arguing against encouraging suicide - something you'd really, really hope isn't controversial - was still downvoted to sh*t, currently, at least 24 times, meanwhile that comment encouraging OP to encourage suicide is not even at -5, if even in the negatives (current score hidden).
And there's plenty of comments supporting it, or continuing to make a joke of it:
it is a little bit funny
And definitely deserved.
Nah man hes just giving him the chair and rope so he can sit down and wrangle some lava strykes
Or saying they also do it.
Obviously it isn't all bad in that thread, but it's not like this is the first time this kind of thing has happened either - I've seen it for years and years and years.
I just really want us all to say it - it isn't okay to encourage suicide.
Can we just do that? Please.
