Inverted capes are something we definitely want to re-introduce, through gameplay, but are still considering the best options for how to implement it.
Someone else in the comments here mentioned it as a 200m skilling reward, which is a nice idea, but the team are still weighing up options for the best way to reintroduce it. No news so far, but we'll be sure to let folks know if when they're coming back!

Mod Hooli already confirmed on a live stream over a year ago that inverted skillcapes will in fact return, so please don't scare us with scary phrases such as "if they're coming back."
And it's been over a year. Honestly, how long does the team need to contemplate the best options for how to re-introduce inverted capes? (Fwiw, 200m xp is a bad idea imo.)
Anywho, keep on keeping on. Just remember your game is currently on fire, and reintroducing inverted capes asap would go a long way toward appeasing the angry mob of people on the verge of quitting.

It's been 9 months or so since FSW came to a close so players who earned their capes, I would imagine, still want to show them off. I don't think giving out Inverted Skill Capes resolves the problems players are raising, but would rather be seen as ignoring them.
I'd much rather return them in a way that feels meaningful and work on the pain points players have right now around Necromancy and Hero Pass. Still, happy to hear your suggestion.
