EDIT - update, Wednesday 25th.

  • There will be a fix coming very soon to enable Linux users to install the client This is now complete - Linux users, please try now to download the client!
  • There has been some asset server outages (and ongoing issues) over the past couple of days, that cover a lot of the loading and login issues players have been experiencing – this is being looked into and we’re hopeful of being able to mitigate before Monday
  • There are widespread global bandwidth issues that may be contributing to poor in-game performance or loading times
  • More ‘individual’ issues will be investigated separately

Hey guys.

We're trying to get some more information on the performance issues some players are currently experiencing. We posted this thread last week, but are keen to get as much information from you all as possible so we can help you all get back online without any issues!

We've been seeing some suggestions around client stability, log-in issues, graphical abnormalities, black screens, client load times, FPS, etc. - but we want to try to narrow them down so we can build specific fixes.

Please let us know...

  • whether you're on mobile or PC
  • which geographic region you're in (West Coast USA, for example)
  • a short description of the issue
  • how long you've been experiencing issues
  • specs of your PC or Mobile
  • if you're using a VPN
  • Your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

We'll be monitoring this thread and may reach out to some of you via DM if we need some more information.

Please bear in mind that as more countries go into lockdown due to COVID-19, global internet speeds from your ISPs may be slower due to volume of traffic.

Is there somewhere or something I could watch in order to be aware of when this happens? Edit: It's apparently out!

More specifically, will there be a client version update? Would the updated client happen to be 2.2.7, or will it keep the 2.2.6 version number on the download URL?

Hey - sorry about that. This looks like it's a separate issue, normally caused by world-hopping restrictions we've implemented in order to protect our servers when they're under attack.

You may have to wait a while before being able to log in again, but you should be able to! If you do keep having issues, please head here and we'll try to help. We'd recommend in the short-term to avoid world-hopping too much.
