The reason we're staggering them is to make sure that those people who do get in are actually playing the game on their phones (as, of course, it's a beta). If we find that that's not the case, we'll review and possibly reallocate those slots in a later batch.
The post lists that so far the only requirement is iOS 10 because the app needs the 64bit OS to run.

I've never used test flight. Can you clarify what the beta access will be tied to? Player account, email, device, etc?
I ask because I am planning to upgrade my phone, and don't want to get beta access, upgrade, and then not be able to download the RS app on the new device. Thank you.

It will be associated to your Apple ID / apple account.
Where will the sign up link be posted? Main page, Twitter, reddit???? You guys need to be very very specific please given there is only 1k spots
