Some news on upcoming changes to Treasure Hunter.
200m Coins (this has been replaced by a 50m Coin prize, but thanks to the new balancing players will be sure to net more coins in total than previously)
Shouldn't you be aiming to have less pure gp added to the game?
Hey! Whilst it depends on each promotion and the general daily engagement - on average TH contributes to a tiny fraction of the gold that enters the game each day. It is important to us with this update that players who play TH for gold don't miss out (and actually benefit), without impacting the gold economy.
Howdy! I noticed comments around the HoI to Oddment conversion and wanted to add some context to the 5:1 ratio. I will admit that comparing HoI to Oddments is... tricky. We have two items which offer the same type of service (more control over TH) but in a completely different way. Let me be clear though, No one is losing out from this update.
There has been some discussion around how HoI can take a while to build up - but I don't believe this is a reflection of their utility (compared to Oddments) at all. For those that value HoI we have allowed adequate time for players to use them up as desired. We've improved the cash out rate of Oddments more to further incentivize playing your way. One of the most significant changes we've made is the removal of the skill specific lamps and stars moving focus toward prismatic and skill agnostic variants - a change in itself which hugely empowers player choice on where they focus their gains.
With these changes we have run balancing checks across the majority of our promotions and can guarantee improved XP and Coin drops across the board. It's worth noting that we expect feedback on this update and will continuously look to improve. I'm grateful for all the constructive feedback and good questions that we've seen already. Happy Scaping! :)
