Subduing Calamity is a War Effort contract tied to the Enraged Emergence Event. The enraged dinosaurs you have to kill are in the Emergence Event, as in kill the Enraged dinosaurs = clear out the Enraged Emergence Event. Multiple players have been confused by this contract and feedback has been brought to the team to make the contract description clearer for contracts.

We know this now but the reason we thought it was bugged and why we thought we were supposed to kill dinos buffed by alpha raptors back then (in case you were wondering) was because (correct me if I'm wrong) we had no enraged events available on the map at the time :) But yes, some contract descriptions can be confusing, especially for new players so it's good to hear you're looking to clear things up :)

Yes, you are correct, back in May it was not active. I just saw that the thread was picked up now in June again so wanted to clarify now when it is active, and has been for a couple of weeks, so you don't miss completing it when you finally can :)
