Will there be a leaderboard for leagues? Some way to see where we are placed relative to other players in our region/globally?
I'd also kill to see Legend be a "Top X" number of players rank but I feel like y'all would have specified if that was how the rank would work.
Not at launch, no. It's on the list of future improvements for sure.
This looks great! Cant wait.
One suggestion. On the image League Standings as viewed above. The tier slide bar is going the opposite direction as the numbering system for the tiers. Is it possible to line up the numbers with the slide bar so they are both progressing in the same direction? Not a big thing, but for clarities sake it might help to change it.

The image is correct. You'll go from left to right, 10 to 1. (1 being higher than 10)

Nope, only badges and titles.

Yeah.

there are more matchmaking updates as a part of this release.

Yes, especially in higher leagues.

No.
can a high ranked player be in the same team as a low ranked player?
Yes and matchmaking adjusts accordingly.
What's the maximum and "average" crowns a player will get in a game?
Max is something like 6k but that's fairly unlikely. Average is around 1500 or so. A good game is ~2500 while a bad game is around 650 or thereabouts, but it's hard to say in the very abstract.
